Need Fix You music for church organ- Please help!

Featured Replies

Hi there,

We are hoping to have Fix You played on a church organ at our wedding when the boss and her bridesmaids are walking down the aisle.

Can anyone please help with the sheet music ? Is it the same as for the piano?(exuse my ignorance!)

We could just play the instrumental mp3 but it would be a shame not to make use of the spectacular organ.

Many thanks

it's an awesome song, but are the lyrics appropriate for a wedding?

and congrats, btw ;)

seriously, with lyrics, not good for a wedding ! :D haha!

but i assume you will play it without the vocals...

however, you can use the normal piano sheets!

if you are practised in playing the real church organ, i mean WITH the basses played with the feet, then do the bassline with the feet, the chords with the left hand and the melody with the right one.

good luck!

I used the piano sheet music for it, but I actually had to move up an octave to make it sound right. But I wasn't really playing the organ, I just switched the setting on my digital piano to percussion organ. Not sure if this helps at all.

huh? oh, ok, i actually suppose, that anyone who thinks it doesn't sound right - in this case too low - changes it automatically - playing it in another octave -

however: yeah definitely you HAVE to play it up one octave, i also noticed that when i used the piano sheets with organ sound. for piano however, it sounds alright that way... that's normal, because every type of instrument got it's own special sound in the different octaves

Awesome! Thanks Guys!

Yeah, we would not be having the lyrics. Haha. I doubt many our guests would even know it is a coldplay tune. We both love the band and think the music would be ideal.

Thanks again

oh, and get a band also, they'll rock it off at the end :D really, without the e-guitar-part, what would fix you be? - not good on an organ however^^
