Idea I have come across recently

I want to live a place of which I can call my own, however living where I am living its very expensive.

I have a friend, whom is a very good one, not romantic.. but she has two children young, but at the moment they are living in a one bedroom flat and don't really have the money to move into a bigger place. I can see life is very difficult for them.And it wont get any easier-

 

 

A idea has come to mind that can help us all. If we put towards a place we can get a bigger place together, with both our names being on the contract for the flat, in additon with my job I have quite a years worth of social secuirty so if I was to lose my job I would still be able to pay my half of the rent. For sometime.

 

I would ask for a number of clauses to proctect us both… just incase we do fall out, or it comes to day she finds someone that can help support her and her children and she will need the space so I can get back my share of the deposit I put into the place etc. Or likewise if I wish to move on !

 

 

These kids also are great with me... and it seems selfish from myself wheras for pratically what I am paying out now for a room, I can help someone whom really needs it to get a bigger place.

 

What do others think. ? Plus I will be living with someone whom I get on very well with.. who knows me for whom I am.

All I have to say is that getting along well with someone it's very different from living with someone even if you did get along before you were living together & even more so if they have children (who are not your own or are related to you in any way) How old are they? :idea2: But people are different so I don't really know. It might work or it might not work but it doesn't hurt to try.

There is a girl aged 2 and a boy aged 7.

 

Its a idea, I will suggest, as in one respect my friend will be taking a big risk too.

 

However I am laying out around 400 euros a month for a place where I am.

I know for around 500 I could be putting torwards a much bigger place for them.

 

Plus I will be fed, and making a difference to peoples lives...
