How to put ringstones on a cellphone Samsung

Featured Replies

I've tried to put ringtones MP3 on my Samsung Omnia mobile phone but the ringtones don't stay. Does anybody know how to do it ? Only original ringtones from the mobile phone stay on it even though they are also mp3. Weird !

Can't bluetooth the mp3s over from your computer to the phone memory and select it as a ringtone?

I did but the sound doesn't remain in the ringtone file with the Samsung ringtones. However, I can put a ringtone to everybody to personnalize the calls, one by one. If somebody else calls me up, it will be a Samsung ringtone and not the one i've choosen which is "Clocks". It's annoying. I'll call up Samsung on Monday if i don't find a solution.:inquisitive:

Hi!!

I found this on another forum

[TIP]Samsung Omnia - How to set mp3 to ringtones quickly

If you have a mp3 file on your memory/storage device just click and hold for a few seconds as it will pop up a menu and u can select it as ringtone. No need to physically copy to ur ringtone menu as it does it all for u

Another site suggests the same
just tap and hold on the MP3 file that you wish to set as ringtone and then select "Set as Ringtone"

when you do a "Set as Ringtone", the file will be automatically copied to the \My Device\My Documents\My Ringtones folder..

Did you try that?

Hope it works! :nice:

Anna, thank you so much for your device ! I've spoiled my Saturday searching how to do it without success. Even the clerck at the store didn't know how to do it on this cellphone. :dance:Thanks to you, it's working good.

Bonjour Patricia!

Oh I hadn't seen that you said it here already that it's working now...

But again, I'm glad it does!

Have a nice day
