As a huge fan I've tried to get nearly every Coldplay song. I think It's really a shame that a lot of fabulous B-Sides ("Ladder to the Sun", "Moses", "Idiot" ...)are only avaiable as really bad quality live tracks. I'm really hoping that the band will record these brilliant tracks for the next albums... I mean, actually, they can fill a whole new album with this tracks and the live covers... :confused: Isn't it so?

 

But I also got a question: Where can I get (or... ähm...download :) ) some of the unreleased Live-Tracks in a high quality... I mean if there are someone in a high quality...

I know that "Ladder to the Sun" and "You only live twice" have been realeased on CD, haven't they? :)

Oh i think its a sah shame that they dont have a cd full of just live tracks, And i agree that they should make a cd of live tracks!!

 

I bet you can find some nice live tracks on Kazza.

Or, dont the b-sided cd's have some live tracks on them?? I got a clocks single that had a really good live track of Yellow!!

Well, in the stone under the dock his name is still engraved.

There are three rare clocks eps that have some perfect quality live tracks, including green eyes, yellow, everything's not lost and many others.

 

You Only live twice was recorded for a single from parachutes... i think it's don't panic, not sure though. But ladder to the sun doesn't have a single version, just versions from bootlegs.

 

And the live dvd that's gonna be realeased soon is coming with a bonus cd full of live tracks, right?

well the last time they had an album's worth of quality unreleased stuff, most of it came out on AROBTTH... so i don't see why this new stuff won't be on the next album. (obviously some of it will get ditched and probably end up as a b-side just because of fans asking them about them all the time. like animals, which i asked jonny about before AROBTTH even came out, hehe)

Especially "Ladder to the Sun" and "Lips like Sugar" should get a Studio Version... those are great songs

"Lips Like Suger" is a Echo and the Bunnymen song! :)

ok....there's No studio version of 'Lips Like sugar' but there are really good quality versions of it...it's also not their song..as fatboyslim ^^ up there, just said..it's an Echo & The Bunnymen song.

'Ladder To The Sun' is definitely not on any official album, but can probably be found on a cd on ebay with lots of b-sides and rare etc...although, this doesn't mean to say that it will be good quality. I have some good quality versions of this song.

with 'Moses'..there is the official relase from the dvd & cd that just recently came out, and a few other live versions of it that sound really good too.

'You Only Live Twice' was officially released on a couple of versions of the Don't Panic CD

'Idiot' is actually a pretty hard song to find a well recorded version of it...because it will have not been played on a radio while the band will have done radio broadcasts of their gigs..because the record company wouldn't have allowed it..therefore, the versions all on the internet are most likely to be recorded from the audience.., but, i have a video which shows the band playing it, and it is professionally recorded, and i took the track from that, and put it to my computer, and mixed it myself.
