Warning sign is a great song, and ive been trying to record an instrumental of it. i got drums, bass, rythm guitar, but i cant tackle the electric parts. I got the parts by the chorus that johnny lights up live, but i cant get that nu nah nu nah nu nah sound without muting the sound when i hammer it.

 

how does johnny do it so smoothly live? sustain pedal? technique?

try sliding one finger up/down

Doesnt work well when the first part your sliding 2 frets back and forth. and plus, i have my guitar tuned to EADGBD and im using:
