Does anyone else think that The Lounge is starting to be a place to debate over stuff that are kinda sensitive?

If people are sound in their beliefs, and they are unshakable then they will not care about the threads. If people are not sound, then I think it only fair that these things should be discussed and they should do their own research into the matters themselves so as to develop their opinions or beliefs. If they are offended then they have the choice either to discuss it here or avoid the thread altogether. Providing nobody is being targeted (and I'm sure if they were then the mods would step in) and it is being discussed maturely, then there won't be a problem.

 

I would much rather it be discussed than ignored as it is very much a part of peoples lives.

Incidentally, you created a thread which could become sensitive haha.

Freedom of speech is close to peoples heart, especially when it comes to religion.

It's just a case of 'tl;dr' for me haha. As in those threads.

You dont have to participate in the discussions and It looks like a majority of people are interested in debating so I dont see the problem. Not talking about things leads to ignorance.

I didn't say there was a problem either. All I said was that it requires thinking, and that's a compliment in disguise. :sad:
