Ew, that one reminds me of ;) and :smug:

My cat loved lying on top of the aquarium because the lamp made it warm and cosy. When she wasnt sleeping she'd stare at the fish and sometimes she'd try fishing with her paw through a hole in the glass haha. She liked eating the fishfood too :wacky:.

Once when my mum was cleaning the aquarium our cat jumped up to lie on top of it but she dived right in to the water since the glass was removed :awesome: big lol hahaha poor cat

That's sad.

Aw that's cute!

But the part about the dead fish is sad.

Thanks

Yeah, I think I'll wait a few days and see if it continues before I do anything drastic.

Someone online suggested putting the bad fish in one of those square breeding nets, but only for a day or so, and then while they're in there change around the decorations so they don't feel so territorial. . .

I think I'm going to pick up some Melafix and do a partial water change later to prevent fin rot and help heal the tail.

Ah yeah, those square nets is a good idea if things get out of hand.

You really know how to take care of your fishes. Mine's just left to live, but they aren't really the good kind of guppies, rather simple ones. :uhoh:

How's the guppies today? Oh, and I missed out on their names too. :shame: Can you tell me their names?

it's an Arwana, so I named it 'Arrow'. And it's elongated, pointy at the head so yeah.

That's what a four day weekend and complete internet access does to you! I spent most of my weekend reading about guppies because I have no life. :disappointed: :P

The big blue one with the bad tail is Poseidon, the little bullied blue and red one is Atlantis (although I might change that; it doesn't quite seem to fit him) and the white and orange one is Ceto. :wacky:

Poseidon's tail is now slightly red around the edge, and the same edge of the tail that the bite's on is a bit ragged. I'm worried he's getting fin rot, so I added the Melafix and did a 25% water change. The Melafix smells wonderful, by the way, it's like eucalyptus-y. :wacky:

Just curious, how many gallons is your tank Ly?

Heyy, that's a good thing! In fact, it isn't no life.

I like the names, big names for small guppies.

I hope Poseidon will be okay soon.

It's not even a tank. :| It's like a... I don't know if pot is the word. Like a really wide base pot, filled with water, and some guppies (the normal kind, most of them are just black completely, and definitely nowhere near as pretty as yours :P) is kept in there, with some aquatic plants. We don't wash it too, the water level goes down and my mum refills it. Sometimes my dog will drink from there, but I suppose it isn't healthy for the dog. There's a lot of algae and the bottom of the pot is dirty, but these guppies are the normal kind (that you can find anywhere), so they're quite hardy and extremely easy to keep.

My fish died. :bigcry: The orange one.

And the blue one with the bitten tail got ick and now has some nasty white spots growing all over him. :|
