How do I overwrite files?

Featured Replies

I need to overwrite some files so that my completely legal and not at all pirated piece of software can work, but I'm not sure how to overwrite them. I thought it would be as simple as clicking on the files i need and telling them to overwrite but my computer tells me it cannot read these files.

Do I need to go into the control panel or something?

The file i need to overwrite is called something like AdobelM.dll

I think

because there are 2 files and one is a zip folder containing lots of files and the other just contains 2

I'm confused :freak:

Try renaming the file, then moving it to somewhere else.

Restart the computer and then delete the renamed file.

Works for me when flash updates itself and doesn't remove the old install
