Tintin movies

Featured Replies

So any other fan of that comic book? (I expect many 'transformers' once the trilogy is out, as always [/hipster]

Looking forward to the movies?

Spielberg brought the rights in 1983 and is adapting it into a trilogy -imo it better keep as James Bond's, a movie per book-, last movie might be directed by Peter Jackson.

I hope they will do it decently good, though one can never know.

I don't use to follow those trilogies, but i've been a fan of the comics since i was a kid and i'm kinda looking forward to it.

The Adventures of Tintin: The secret of the Unicorn.

First movie due to be released along 2011.

Cast seems interesting, though is for an animation. [disappointment]

I loved the comic as kid (my dad is a huge fan and I live near the castle that inspired Hergé Moulinsard design) I saw countless time the animation serie but I don't think that Tintin's universe will work on the big screen.... Dunno, would be weird seeing Captain Haddock in the flesh (and I wonder how they translate his insults....is 'bachi-bouzouk' or 'tonnerre de Brest (thunder of Brest ??) or even 'moule à gauffre' (waffle mold?)

anyway, too weird to me!

Apparently that production is meant to be an animation

oh, well other comic series ended in flesh and were ok. i guess i've always been curious to see a real Tintin :wacky:

So, you'll try to follow this adapt?

btw you made me all jealous with the castle :shy:

Looking forward but also terrified how it could turn out as a Hollywood film. Such a huge part of my childhood. Will it be a 2D or 3D animation?

dunno if it'll be 3D, what's the tendency about it on Dreamworks studios?

I'll watch it in DVD (hate 3D)

Do you recognize Moulinsard?! (Hergé just kept the middle)

A Tintin museum is also there ^^ It's nice and interactiv. My dad loved it :D

another strip from here in move :surprised:

hope this will be better than that smurfs one :P

Tintin (Kuifje here in Dutch) :wacky: I simply love it

I hope they do the same animation style as the TV show. By 3D i mean like Shrek not like Avatar.

no idea how the animation will be, i hoped it to be a flesh movie, i mean as actors will act and not just speak. :(

oh well, i hope they do a good work.

i guess it'll be more like shrek, cause the series was already done, so now seems cooler if things are on digital animation style.

No no no, I believe it's a combination of real life and cgi.

As in, they film it in real life with the actors and such but they pretty much modify their bodies faces to look like the tintin characters? i dunno. I saw some pictures and they looked incredible.

There are definitively actors... A french actor is playing on it and said it was incredible to be directed by Uncle Steven. So I guess it will be a mix between real and CGI?!

what's cgi?

ah actors? that's better :D

then i like more the cast, thought i still don't see Mr Bell to be the proper actor to play Tintin, he is not redhair... i would prefer Michael Cera en this one, though.

well we'll see.

could you please share the pics Eddie?.

Micheal Cera as Tintin :worried:

yeah i know, was a bit random, but really is the first i thought that erm physically may look more like the idea i had of a flesh Tintin, compared to Jamie Bell... dunno.

cause other i could think of is Freddie Highmore, but he has blue eyes and Tintin not.

anyways that doesn't matter as the cast is already chosen so. i said nothing.

so it'll be with normal actors, normal movie but for few cgi adds?

i can't seem to find pics about it, eddie said he saw them. :\

This could end up horrendously.

not like the animated one?

or the idea of turning it into a trilogy movie?

The TV series was great, I loved that. This 3D one seems like it could end up being a stupid American animated film. A trilogy?

Will wait to judge.
