Smog casts a shadow over Easter: Health warning issued over pollution across Britain as millions begin their Bank Holiday break

article-1379159-0BBC0AB800000578-801_964x312.jpg

Tiny particles of soot, dust, dirt and noxious liquid droplets have gathered in such high concentrations in parts of the UK’s skies that they breach European safety limits. Asthma sufferers, the young and the elderly could all be affected by highly polluted air inflaming their lungs and making breathing more difficult. This picture taken at around 7.30am shows the London skyline in a haze.

How many of y'all actually celebrate Easter for the whole like, Jesus thing?

Easter Eggs Renamed Spring Spheres at Seattle Elementary School

At least one place in the U.S. has renamed Easter eggs calling them spring spheres. A Seattle, Washington school has dubbed the colorful holiday tradition with a new, non-offensive title.

It seems that Easter eggs just aren't politically correct these days. In addition to the elementary school changing the name, the Seattle Parks Department has also taken "Easter" out of their egg hunt advertising as well. Is calling the eggs spring spheres a good idea though?

This odd new name came about when 16 year old Jessica wanted to provide candy-filled Easter eggs treats for the 3rd grade class she volunteered. After the teacher consulted with the administration, Jessica was told she could deliver the treats to the children, but only if she called them spring spheres. Of course, all the children knew them as Easter eggs.

There is certainly a group who wants to remove the word "Easter" from the eggs that are everywhere at this time of year. Of course, an egg and a sphere aren't quite the same thing, right? At the very least they could call them spring eggs if they wanted to. Perhaps the Easter bunny could become the spring bunny. What do you think? Should the word "Easter" be taken out of the non-religious celebrations at this time of year?
