I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. But really, there's nothing that makes them stand out for me, I see the album as a batch of songs made to convey a sense of wistfulness and melancholy, only that they fail to do so and annoy me instead. I admit that they have something in their sound to make you give them a go second time but it eventually wears off and it gets tedious. I'm glad you have a different experience.
