January 15, 201214 yr You can't even choose 'electives' at my school; they're randomly assigned by a computer (besides Chorus/Band).
January 15, 201214 yr On a different note, did I ever mention that I was in the final pool of candidates for the high school I'm trying to get in to? :wacky:
January 15, 201214 yr Author On a different note, did I ever mention that I was in the final pool of candidates for the high school I'm trying to get in to? :wacky: That's awesome! :awesome:
January 15, 201214 yr That's awesome! :awesome: I don't actually know if I've been accepted yet, but the results are supposed to come by February 8th. I'll know soon enough. Mine starts at 8:00  Well, technically, everyone has to be there by 7:55. :blank:

I'm sure you'll make it :) Anyone that can have a discussion about alternate universes and immortality deserves to get it :P We just have to be in our seats by 8:00--although it varies from teacher to teacher

Homeroom actually starts at 8:10 for me, but I take the bus, so I'm always earlier anyway. :P
January 15, 201214 yr In high school and college, you can, but in Middle School (when you're 12-14), you don't. I'm in middle school and I got to chose 2 or 3 of my classes, if that's what you mean
January 15, 201214 yr Well, I got to choose Spanish and Chorus, but that was it. (although my art teacher pulled some strings, so now I don't have to have Business 2nd semester :awesome:)
January 15, 201214 yr I got to choose French and band and we were able to chose if we wanted to be in the math class they assigned us out of 4. If that makes sense. Unfortunately I'm in accelerated algebra :P
January 15, 201214 yr The only classes I've had that I haven't had to take (Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies) are: -PE/Health (well, technically, I have to take that. :P) -Chorus/8th Grade Chorale -World Languages (one marking period of French and one marking period of Spanish) -Foundations of Journalism (that was a horrible class >.<) -Spanish -Art

January 15, 201214 yr Author As long as we get all of our necessary core classes, we can pretty much pick any class you want. There are some seniors that are only taking English this year
January 15, 201214 yr Most days, my classes start at 8:45 :smug: but on Tuesdays and Fridays not until 9:55 :D
January 15, 201214 yr At least 10 of the required 24.0 credits must be earned in these areas. Curriculum: Math 4.0 Science 4.5 Computer Science 0.5 Social Science 3.0 Math/Science/Computer 1.0 Phys Ed. 1.0 English 4.0 Electives 3.5 Foreign Language 2.0 Health 0.5 That's for the high school I'm trying to get in to.

The catch is...it's too easy for me. :P 8th, I could be in geometry too, but I chickened out at the last second in 6th grade when I had the chance to be a year ahead of where I am now. But I'm probably gonna double up in geometry and algebra 2 next year if I get a chance.
