Hi!! I am a new member. i wanted to know if anybody knows what does mylo xyloto means! I heard that the band didnt say anything about it, and that maybe its a japanese word. Ive searched in google but i only found some non-sense answers.

Mylo Xyloto is a love story of a guy (Mylo) and a girl (Xyloto) who fall in love in an oppresive enviroment who doesnt want them to be together think of it as 1984 :)

It means nothing^^ Its a name that coldplay like. In a German Interview they said:

 

"Welt Kompakt: Wofür steht "Mylo Xyloto"?

 

Chris Martin: Am Namen Coldplay kleben so viele Klischees, dass wir einen Albumtitel suchten, der erst mal nichts bedeutet. Abgesehen davon, dass er unserer Meinung nach interessant klingt, gab er uns eine freie Fläche, die wir mit Ideen füllen konnten."
