Hey fellow coldplayers, I (17) wrote this song yesterday and I can't work put if its good or not. Of course, without coldplay i wouldn't be playing piano or writing songs so this might sound a little similar. Please give feedback and/or rate on this forum or in the comments on youtube! thanks a lot!

Well if it's about the begining I don't think you can change the tempo like that, so chaotically.

Otherwise the song is outstanding.

Would love to hear it totally completed. With your voice or with the band.

It's hard to believe that you actually press random keys. And I personally don't. I assume you learned by yourself and that you managed to understand the construction of music by this time.

I also admire you. I finished my song few days ago and it's not even totally completed, but I kind of know that I want it to stay as close to what it is now in the final version. I started writing it in the begining of holidays. June/July it would be. So what the fuck, you're totally talented and well good luck in developing.

Learn yourself some music theory, practice your songwriting craft using professional feedback, acquaint yourself with some people who'll form a band with you, get yourself a recording engineer or a label, and you're set. It's that good.

Hey guys, thanks for the feedback. I am 17 just to let you guys know. I really am not a good singer at all and im pretty embarrassed about it haha. I just wrote this song without any musical theory knowledge, I just look at coldplay's songs and try to make something like it. I have never had a band but I started with a friend and we made absolutely incredible music but he quit on me. Anyway here are the few lyrics I have been thinkin of putting on:

 

Melody:

And we had the time of the recreation not superstition no

And they could have told us that we were lastin that we were hittin the wrong keys

And they could have told us that we were part of the fight

 

Chrous:

We'll have a car crash (or new day) with lighted matches, burning ashes that we'll hold on to

 

Ending: That we'll hold on to

 

 

The song would basically be about going into the future and having something to hold on to that you did not have before. I try and make the lyrics as creative as possible and try to be abstract and not make the common mistake of making them cheesy and bland.
