I can see where your coming from, it reminds me of the Sims too.

Haha. YES. That's the first thing I thought of when I heard the song back in the day.

So is it related? I know the Sims do use real music (for example, The Veronicas, that's how I discovered them) so it may be... real.

Oh, I liked The Sims 2. It didn't remind me of any song from it tho.

I will now whip them out and compare them!

Well The Sims 2 came out like way before this. Coldplay probably ripped it off when Chris heard it while trying to make his sim have sex with the Jonny Sim.

 

Then again, this music was in "buy" mode. I dunno.
