I couldn't find a thread about MLB, so I had to create it, 'cause Johan Santana has just pitched the first no hitter in the history of the New York Mets!

If it wasn't for Wright's mishandled ball in the 1st inning and error in the 9th, R.A. Dickey would've thrown a perfect game tonight. No earned runs, no walks, 12 strikeouts. Now he's 10-1. Amazing.

Valverde is starting to tick me off. I'm very anti- blaming a single player for losing/almost losing a game; but in this case he single-handedly nearly lost the Tigers game against the Yankees. He's in for one inning, the 9th, and gives up 4 runs? We finally win it in the 12th, but sheesh. Between what happened last night, and blowing the 2-run lead in the bottom of the 9th in the fourth game versus Oakland... methinks we need to switch closing pitchers. Smyly did a pretty good job, so...

So I didn't have the closest seats in the world, but at least I had a good view of everything:

I'm glad they didn't put Valverde in as the closer, he might have been booed. Coke did a great job!

 

 

So tickets went on sale for the World Series this morning. The queue for tickets was insane.

After being in queue for a couple of hours, it still had me in queue, but the message at the top changed to say tickets weren't availalbe. NICE.

 

 

 

And when I did get through the queue, thinking that something opened up, sure enough it was sold out.

I was planning to go to game 5 of ALCS on Thursday, but after the game 4 rain delay I'm going to have to wait until Friday now. BUMMER
