Spider-Man
So here's a song I was inspired to write after listening to The Only Exception by Paramore, Coldplay's early music and 76543's song. Still working on the lyrics. You are the one and only exception When I see you You can see my reflection My heartache has an infection And the only release from it is you You are the one and only To keep me from feeling lonely You are the one and only The one and only You are the one for me You are the one to set me free You are the wind, howling under my skin And without you, I would be in a spin You are the one and only To keep me from feeling lonely You are the one and only The one and only ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh You are the one and only To keep me from feeling lonely You are the one and only The one and only Feedback is appreciated on how to make this better. Thanks :)
SevenSixFiveFourThree
WOW that's great! One thing I would say about this is that I think it might need a few more lines like this one: You are the wind, howling under my skin And without you, I would be in a spin That line the the best part of the song because it has a brilliant theme to it in the way it mentions "under my skin" it shows how the person who the protagonist is talking about is a part of them. I hope that made sense, I really like this song but it could use a few more lines otherwise it's fantastic! p.s I also love the way the two people in this song are well connected with eachother or at least the protagonist thinks so :)

Spider-Man
I have 9 songs, but they don't feel deep enough for me. So I started again a few hours ago. Goal is to write 5 good songs. The one above is one. Could you tell me what you think of this one here. I just finished it, it was heavily influenced by The Fray's You Found Me. And may need input. Bridges All my days were turned dark Lost without finding the spark All the bridges I've crossed Were burned down to the ground Without a way of getting across Now I'm lost, now I'm lost Where have all the bridges gone? They used to stretch forever long Where has all the hope gone They were standing strong They were standing strong Where have all the bridges gone? They gave me hope when right went wrong The fire rose and burnt all my clothes Then the rain came and I froze When will this end? Can I send you a letter explaining how I became a fiend In the pouring rain It came and cleaned all my thoughts While I stood and fought the demons inside of me In the city that never rests There you were sitting on a bridge weeping While everybody else was sleeping You thought about leaping And all you loved seeped through your heart The thought of it tore you apart What can I do What can I do to help you re start Where have all the bridges gone? They used to stretch forever long Where has all the hope gone They were standing strong They were standing strong Where have all the bridges gone? They gave me hope when right went wrong Post your songs too, we can share opinions. :)
