I'm kinda new in the guitar playing world, I have guitar rig 5 but I haven't been able to find a similar sound as Jonny. Has anyone been able to find/make some of the guitar tones? Does anybody have or know some of these presets?:)

I've even looked at youtube videos for anyone tinkering around with GR 4 or 5 for these sounds.

I have worked out a good U2 edge sound from the already pre-built one in GR 5 though.

If i find a good Johnny one, I'll update this thread.

 

I can tell you ..using Altiverb in conjunction with GR 5 will create nice atmospheres for your guitar.

Gives it a great stadium sound.

I'd be interested in knowing too. There's a lot of tech info in Matt McGinn's book 'Roadie: My Life On The Road With Coldplay', and it's just a great book, so I'd recommend that as a start.
