Hey guys excuse my ignorance but as a new member am I allowed to create a totally new thread with my own topic or am I only allowed to post under forums already started? If it has to be forums already started how would I search for the best fit ? Thanks all.

If it's in the right section for the topic, feel free to post a new thread :) If it's something that exists already (recently), it's best to continue the conversation in that topic.

Okay how do you search for threads to see if something similar exists?

If you can't see the related topic on the first page or two of the forum section, you can just create one. If you're using the desktop version of the site, when you type the thread title, a list of similar threads will appear :)
