What If- Synth/pads/strings

Featured Replies

Does anybody knows what is the Synth/Pads Or Strings that Coldplay used on the song What If?

I just need it becuase I make cover to this song. Full cover.

thank!

Anything strings, they generally have that one guy..what's his name..he did a remix of True Love. He plays a unique kind of electric set of string instruments. Take for instance the ending to the song X&Y. That's not some sample library or synth patch. If it's a cover though, no need to make a perfect carbon copy. We already have the album track. You can make something a little different and new right

One of their engineers makes evolving patches as well. A lot of the stuff they use, take the kind of sound design brian Eno contributes, you can't just buy it. It's as customized and unique to the band as the songs.

Davide Rossi is the guy who does their strings. And it actually looks like, according to Wikipedia at least, he didn't start arranging their strings til Viva. I could have sworn it was X&Y though. Just like eno wasn't officially involved til Viva, but he was around for X&Y

Thank you...

And you can help me to find the electric guitar that in the Chorus?

I use in Fl Studio. I need to find the electric guitar.

Johnny couldn't answer that one. Just grab your electric guitar and mess with whatever tone controls you have and amp sims you have til you get a good tone. If I remember off my head, it's just a kind of tweed sounding mono over driven tone. Haven't listened to the song in years though haha. So maybe I'm wrong.
