I first had this idea for the Global Citizen Festival, but why not do a similar thing with Coldplay's intimate live gig at the Today Show on Rockefeller Plaza in the heart of NYC, March 14 ?

For this show, you can apply for fan passes and if you win one, you can go yourself and take one person with you. Probably not everybody has a friend/spouse to go with, so here's my idea:

 

If I win a fan pass, I will invite a fellow Coldplayer from the Coldplaying forums to join me for the second spot !!! (Only condition: Be there early to line up for a good view !)

Conversely, if you are a Coldplayer who wins a fan pass but doesn't know who to go with, I'd be very, very grateful if you invite me along for the second spot.

 

Let me know if you are interested in this !

Wtf ? This thread has been online since last week when I still was hoping to win a fanpass, and of course I wanted many people to see the thread to increase chances that something comes to be, in either direction (me inviting or me getting invited). Now it happened that I didn't win one so I posted that I am looking for a spot, what's wrong with that ? I can't change the title anymore.

There's a big fat capital "INVITE" in the thread's title that's misleading. It sounds like you already have a ticket, that's the thing that's bothering me a little. Like, you basically just stated you don't have anything and want to come along if someone else wins. Or take someone else with you in case you win. But if I were you I'd only have made a thread if you already actually had a ticket.

OK I made it because I was hoping to make a reciprocal pledge with someone else (aka "if you win, I come and if I win, you come") - thus doubling chances for both people - (and I actually did have a pledge like this with Spraycan Soul at the Global Citizen Thread but neither of us ended up winning in the end...)

I think real misleading it would only have been if I had written "InvitING", but anyway I can't really believe we are discussing this right now and yeah let's just forget it...

 

(You are welcome to change the title to "OMG I Ran Away is desperately looking for a way to get into the TODAY show ?%" or alternatively the cheesy version ""When you flyyyyy (to Coldplay at the TODAY Show) won’t youuuuuu / Won’t you taaaake meeee toooooooooooo?" :P :P :P
