The latest Blur was so good, and my fave Oasis will always been Morning Glory.

I highly recommend the Shins. The New Pornographers' last album was to my liking, too.

 

Ah, I don't think i ever heard any The Shins songs. :embarrased: What kind of music do they play? And oh, what are your favourite the shins songs, richard?

The Shins are just starting to become popular here, so it might be hard to get them there. But off their latest album, my favorite songs would be Killing the Lipless and So Says I. I haven't heard their first album, though. I don't think it was very widely distributed.

 

Have you heard any Sun Kil Moon?

Ah, I just downloaded The Shins - So Says I. Great song! Kinda reminds me of that band keane that mandy was talking about sometime ago.

I'll see if i can find that other one, Killing the Lipless, now.

The album is called Chutes too Narrow. Anything from that album would be good.

Oh, while i was searching for these songs on kazaa, i found like... 40 the shins songs... so i guess they have more than 2 albums... - or maybe they just have lots of bsides - uh, am i right?

There are only 2 albums, but there's probably a lot of b-sides and live versions floating about. They're getting popular here.

Oh, cool, cool... man, i guess they really are popular.. there are like 130 users sharing this "saint simon" song...and 104 users sharing "when you notice the stripes"... that really surprised me, cos i thought they were a new band.

Hmm, it's so weird that i never heard anything about em before.

That is a lot. Their first album got no air play that I could remember. They got new management and promoters for this second album and then really took off. It's really surprising to see so many people sharing their songs.

Mwahahaha, I just ordered Absolution and 12 Memories. About time.

Hmm, I think I will try the Blur best of album. My sis has got some Oasis stuff, I'll probably listen to that a bit to get a feel for them first... :idea2:

Not being a huge Blur fan, I have to say that I prefer Think Tank to their the Best of. Think Tank was my #6 album of last year, and I don't think I've ever felt that strongly about once of their works (although they've never been bad in my mind).

I wanna get the Vanilla Sky soundtrack, it's got some pretty trippy music on it.
