I love Coldplay live. I love how they can change up/remix a song, Chris' banter, the general rawness and emotion. Post performances from concerts, videos that you yourself took that you're proud of, or performances from talk shows/award shows. Just include the venue and date along with the song title!

 

So, I'll start with Politik. I know that's kind of unfair, but whatever.

I picket God Put a Smile Upon Your Face from the Live 2012 release, live at Stage de France. Starts very calm with a guitar and vocals, and then explodes to this huge sounding rock version. Will hitting the heck out of the drums, and Chris throwing the guitar in the air.

I pick this 2014 performance from Royal Albert Hall. Not only is it a great performance, but Jonny sings and it's incredible and I love it.

EDIT: Seriously though... that GPASUYF performance is fucking bonkers. The guys all seem to be having such a good time. And it really shines a light on Jonny and Will. Just fabulous. Something tells me I'm gonna watch it until I'm sick of it.

My favorite live version of Fix You is from their concert at Gillette Stadium last year. It was the first live concert of theirs I went to and it's special to me for that reason. It's not the greatest, but it's still a good performance IMO.

 

 

 

Up next is The Scientist.

This version of "The Scientist" is from a recent concert, at the 2nd Gothenburg gig on 26th June 2017 in the 2017 European tour. This was the 3rd Coldplay concert I attended, but more importantly, look at the whole audience waving their hands more towards the end of the song, especially at 5:20->! Even Chris said he had a sh*tty day, and when he saw what the audience did with the hands, all his problems just went away. It was amazing to see and experience in person, and I'm happy that someone had filmed it from the crowd further away (as I was at the front):
