Where should Coldplay visit for their next world tour?
I imagine there will be tour dates in Asia and Australia coming up in the future, but the European leg seems very limited. I really hope Europe gets more countries. It is a little frustrating not knowing if they would come any closer or not. I don't want to miss this tour, but the nearest stops are pretty far away. It's a little odd seeing Northern parts of Europe (Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland) excluded entirely, and some larger places like Spain, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland and Austria are completely missing too.

🪐 Coldplay: Music of the Spheres 🪐 | Out Now! | Discussion
My take on the entire album: I have listened to the album three times now from start to finish, and some songs on their own a lot more. I have listened to the songs as soon as they have come out / been played live, so my hype for the album wasn’t the biggest. I feel like Everyday Life was very well made overall, and it was to be expected that Coldplay would go into a more heavily produced and pop-oriented direction with this record. I think the artwork of the album has been pretty fitting to the sound of this album and looks great. I think that using emojis as some of the song names was a little weird, but I guess it’s a good reflection of the current time and world, and it is a pretty bold move by the band which I can respect. But I do hope it will not become a habit. Below (in the spoiler part) are my feelings of every song one by one since it got kinda extensive, and a summary is in the end. Summary and final thoughts: I was pleasantly surprised by this album, but I still have mixed feelings. This album has very high highs, but some lower lows. I liked Everyday Life a lot, but I would say about a half of the songs just didn’t really speak to me, whereas half on EL were some of the best songs Coldplay has ever made. I think Music Of The Spheres is more polished when it comes to the flow of the album and the songs fitting together overall. I think this record gives every member moments to shine. I am very happy about Will’s contribution: I feel like his backing vocals are very well utilized, and his drumming has developed a huge amount. Chris' vocals were really stellar, but some of the lyrics seemed kinda cheesy. Guy and Jonny were very well mixed in the tracks, and their contributions are apparent and impressive as usual. If I had to pick favourites from this album they would be Human Heart, Coloratura, People of The Pride, and Infinity Sign. These songs show Coldplay can make so much more than just "catchy pop songs", and they really shine at experimenting. I am proud of them and they did a great job on this album overall. I hope Coldplay keeps experimenting, and that they would not stay too deeply focused on the pop direction they have been on with MX/AHFOD/MOTS. I definitely prefer MOTS over AHFOD and MX. I understand that not every album can be as raw and toned down as Ghost Stories and Everyday Life, but I hope they go back to that type of approach on some of the upcoming albums. Can’t wait to see what the tour brings to us, many of the songs in this record seem like a great fit to live stages!

World Tour Setlist Predictions for MOTS Era
This is a pretty hard one, the band has so many hits and popular songs to include. I feel like they will utilize the same kind of overall structure as in AHFOD tour, since that seemed pretty balanced and liked overall. A good mix of main stage and side stages. This is my prediction for the setlist: A-stage (Music Of The Spheres as intro when band walks to stage) Higher Power (Fireworks) Clocks Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall (Confetti) Adventure of a Lifetime The Scientist Paradise Humankind B-stage (Alien Choir on the background during transition) Magic Everglow / Let Somebody Go / Daddy [pretty unlike but I wish] (Princess of China, Miracles (Someone Special), Everyday Life, or Lovers in Japan could appear every once in a while) Human Heart A-Stage (Music Of The Spheres II on the background during transition) People of The Pride Politik (Okay I don’t think this is likely, but please I really want Politik to make it in) Charlie Brown Fix You (Midnight excerpt during intro) Viva la Vida Hymn for the Weekend Something Just Like This In My Place C-stage (Sunrise playing on the background during transition) Champion Of The World (or maybe Cry Cry Cry every once in a while) A request song slot Yellow (Chris only) A-stage Infinity Sign (Chris will join towards the end; Guy, Jonny, and Will starting the song on A-stage when Yellow is over) My Universe A Sky Full Of Stars (Confetti) Coloratura (fireworks) I really think Moving to Mars and A L I E N S would fit well into the theme of the tour, but they are probably pretty unlikely unfortunately. I wish Hypnotised would be included as well, especially since Chris said in the past that they want to spare it for the next tour, but I feel like they will leave it out of the set. I want to stick Birds in there too but probably not happening.

Yeah there's a show tonight in London, apparently it will be filmed as well. Where did you hear from the gig on Wednesday though? Haven't heard anything about that one.

Fly On vs Trouble in Town- LP8 Thread - Everyday Life
I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but Chris said that they'll play "about seven little performances" during this album cycle/"tour" (source at 16:20) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubVO1C8-xrc:980 Any ideas of what shows count or if there are rumours about new shows coming up? Do you guys think the shows at SNL (November 2nd), Graham Norton show (December 13th) count? Or if the broadcasts on November 22nd coun as one, two or at all? Jordan's show on November 23rd and Today's show in London for sure must count. Still having my hopes up for a possibility of seeing them on this tour.- Live at the Natural History Museum London 25 Nov 2019
Hope that everyone who were lucky enough to get in has fun. One of the most unique venues they've played for sure. Any people from here attending? Is it true that someone from here got a ticket today? Anyways will be interesting to see if they'll change up the setlist. Life In Technicolor or LIT(ii) would be kinda fitting right, as it Life In Technicolor was on Night at the Museum 2. Cemeteries of London would fit as well. I think Politik and Death and All His Friends would be so fitting for this era too, I really hope they'd play those but probably not.- Everyday Life - Live in Jordan on YouTube 22 Nov

Easily my favourite song of the three. Very beautiful, might be in my top 5 favourite Coldplay songs. Sounds pretty timeless to me, the lyrics pretty emotional and touching imo, especially "Am I the future or the history" and "Everyone tells each other all kinds of lies" fit so well. A solid album closer, I think this works well even without a massive buildup. After Ghost Stories we haven't really gotten one of these more mellow/gloomy type songs, and I've really missed hearing this type of Coldplay. I tend to enjoy sadder Coldplay songs more than the upbeat stuff, so I'm very proud and happy that they made this kind of song again.- LP8 Thread - Everyday Life
Well, wasn't expecting them to sound like that. Well, I feel like I say that every time Coldplay puts out something new. A little weird that they are two short albums, seems more like a marketing strategy unless the two albums turn out to be sonically very different. Orphans: Quite tribal-like feeling to the drum beat and the glass-type sounding loops bring me a HFTW vibe, the overall sound brings me an African vibe. Guys bassline sounds so sweet. And I loooooove the chorus, it's very catchy and the vocal stacks sound amazing. Very solid performance from Chris, but man Will's backing vocals really really shine here. I feel like Will's drumming could have been utilised a lot more though. Not sure how I feel about those "Boom boom ka" and "woo woo" etc. parts, they definitely wrote them with live performances in their mind. The guitar on the bridge is very beautiful. This is going to be a pretty solid live song I feel like. Arabesque: My first reaction: This is so WEIRD, but this sounds SO COOL? But now, Sounds very experimental, brings me huge Viva vibes and feelings. The guitar riff is awesome. Again, Will's backing vocals shine on this one too, especially when Will sings during the French parts "You could be me ... I could be you". The huge wall of sounds that builds up near the end sounds massive. Oh, and wasn't expecting to hear Chris swear, but it kinda fits to be honest. That part could make an amazing sing-a-long section I think lol. Now the bridge section, during the horn (??) solos (correct me if I'm wrong), I really hope this gets played live. Imagine Jonny playing the section as a guitar solo, how epic would that be! I feel the same way about this one as about Orphans, drums could have been more. Music is the weapon, music is the weapon of the future fits so well too. Conclusions: Both are very solid songs and sound very fresh, very happy to see them try out new stuff. I enjoy Arabesque more so far, it's so weird and different that I love it. Quite surprised to see as well that Orphans is on the Sunset side. Makes sense from the song name's stand point, but sonically I think it would probably fit Sunset better judging by these two. I was really hoping to Will go crazy in the drumming section, but Will's backing vocals really blew me away, so that definitely compensates the drum sections. Really looking forward to hearing the rest of the stuff. So happy to see the boys coming back, the promo pictures are pure gold!- LP8 Thread - Everyday Life
I don't know if somebody has already brought this up, but how funny would it be if this old jokelike song "I Am Your Baby's Daddy" they made would turn out to be "Daddy" :joy:- War of the Coldplay Songs
Gravity vs Ghost Story- LP8 Thread - Everyday Life
Sunrise and Sunset are pretty great for the names of the albums, but Everyday Life sounds, well a little bit mundane to me. I think many of the song titles in the Amazon's listing sound a little weak and simple. Sunrise, Trouble in Town, When I need a Friend, Old Friends and Orphans are pretty fitting for Coldplay, but the rest sound a bit meh imo. Any idea what could be track #6 for the second disk? Sunset would make sense at least to be included as a song title. Any guesses how they are going to tour the albums? A large tour production like AHFOD and MX, or smaller venues and more intimate like Ghost Stories? I think small venues are unlikely, but I really hope they would. Or maybe a combination of both, a small promo tour and then a large tour, or a small tour for one of the albums and a bigger for the other? And btw, I think it's great attention to detail that the first song in the first album is called Sunrise, and the last line in Kaleidoscope EP was "Now it's sunrise".- Everyday Life Tour Setlist speculation
It will be interesting to see how they will tour the albums and what what will be the overall theme and vibe of the albums. If it would be something like Ghost Stories tour, in smaller venues, I could see them them dropping many "hits" in favour of performing a lot of stuff from the albums and a couple more rare songs here and there. But considering how big Coldplay has gotten, I'm thinking it will be huge venues again and older bigger hits will take a big chunk of the setlist. Usually when bands start having a lot of material and a harder time choosing songs, many bands try out song medleys and shortening some of the more usual songs so that is possible as well. Or who knows, maybe they would do a small promo tour in more intimate venues with more varied sets, and then huge shows for the actual world tour. Part of me is hopping one of the albums is going to be darker with a small tour in small venues, and then the other album will be more happier and will be toured in the usual bigger scale. As far as the stable songs, here are my guesses: -Yellow -The Scientist -Fix You -Viva la Vida -Paradise -ETIAW -ASFOS -AOAL -HFTW -SJLT -Hypnotised (I really hope it does at least, didn't Chris even say they wanted to spare Hypnotised for the next tour, when Chris performed it solo in Stade de France?) Songs that still could be stables or rotate with some of the songs above: -Clocks -Charlie Brown -Magic -Everglow -Up&Up Songs that I could see appearing, but not being played as often. I'm getting a more VLV album vibe from the leaks so: -Death and All His Friends -Lovers in Japan -Life in Technicolor ii -Politik -Til Kingdom Come -GPASUYF- Los Unidades
I was thinking if this would be Coldplay's sideproject where they would release unreleased/old tracks. Los Unidades was still signed, so I don't think it's just an album under Coldplay’s name. Imagine guys if they would do an Unsold Ideas tour under Los Unidades, where they would do only small venues, and play rare, old, unreleased songs and b-sides?? Well, maybe that's getting my hopes up too high. Nevertheless, this whole thing came out of nowhere, and time goes so slowly.- Random Coldplay thoughts...
EDIT. Saw not until now that this was posted on the LP8 thread already, but I'm gonna leave it here anyways Just stumbled upon this. I now they are supposed to be in hiatus until 2021 as far as touring was concerned, so no idea if this is legit or not, but this tweet w/ video claims that Coldplay would be performing in 2019. My thoughts on the film:- A Head Full of Dreams Film - In Cinemas Nov.14
I am so sorry to hear about your situation. I really hope that you will feel better very soon.- The Butterfly Package - AHFOD Live Album/Movie
So happy to see this coming finally! A little strange that it’s from the last leg of the tour, didn’t they film tons of cities and performances, especially at France? A little disappointed that Birds isn’t on the live cd, but seems to be that it luckily makes it to the film. Amazing Day and Life Is Beautiful missing though. Was to be expected, but no old or rare Coldplay songs from the C-stage.- Congrats for being the most positive message board I have ever seen
I have to agree! I have been following a ton of other forums and as sad as it, I've faced rude people/posts on all of the other fan communities. I think a lot of it comes down to the band also, love and togetherness are some of the biggest messages in Coldplay's music and gigs! :)- Would a Coldplay B-sides tour be cool or lame?
I think it would be very cool (for us, hardcore fans). They could do a tour where they would play big stadiums and arenas just like they do now, and then add rarity gigs to small clubs or venues, or do stadium tours and rarity tours separately. Of course it would be a big challenge to rule out the "mainstream Coldplay fans" from the ticket sales from these rarity gigs, but an idea that could work.- Random Coldplay thoughts...
I just saw this. So they are not going to be touring until 2021 :( I mean YES, they really deserve their break, but of course it would be fun not having to wait that long. Mobile Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bfs8qaFFNXV/ - War of the Coldplay Songs
