It's obviously kind of a bull**** metric because surely if Spotify existed in the 1960s, The Beatles would be pretty damn popular. Coldplay are reaping the benefits of being a popular band living in the music streaming era. The Beatles haven't existed since before compact discs. Lol

 

But it's cool that Coldplay are the number one British band on Spotify!

I wonder how U2 would fit in this mix. They are obviously a big band, are still touring, and gaining new, younger fans. In addition, many of their original listeners are at an age where they would be more likely to use streaming services.
