October 4, 20241 yr Logging in after many years. The uploaded tracks on Coldplay's youtube page have horrible distortion. I noticed it when listening to track six,Ā Alien Hits (called Neon Forest ANGEL SONG on Youtube, https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=Yg2S5iP3pYU&si=Y1uQeP2VTN7J2TyW). The entire album uploaded to regular youtube has crappy quality compared to other sources. How did this happen? Whoever is running their youtube channel is cutting corners in a big way. In case you don't know, just type "topic" after the song title to hear them in high quality on youtube. By the way, I noticed the distortion as well. Also, some titles were swapped (song title - artist).
October 4, 20241 yr I'm so glad we got Neon Forest, but it feels so short! An amazing piece of music that feels like a dream, until the little piano intro from iAAM wakes you up and brings you back to Earth. Absolutely beautiful.
October 9, 20241 yr The seemingly effortless way they sampled other songs into this under the idea of it being what an "alien" would hear while spinning the dial in space is kind of inspired. I'm not a huge fan of the spoken word section but the journey of the song is worth it.
January 20Jan 20 Did you notice that the beginning of the track on the vinyl (Notebook edition) is different than in the digital one? On the vinyl Chris' vocal ("As much as I could, as much as I tried, I just couldn't seem to find the light") starts much faster (almost immediately), when in the digital version it starts after a sequence. In essence, there are two different beginnings of the song.
