All that's missing is a fan base worthy of his press clippings. Read more on Ron Sexsmith here.

Flamboyant, catsuit-wearing frontman/guitarist Justin Hawkins of The Darkness has a simple explanation of music these days: "There aren't a lot of good English bands, I don't think," he said, following the pronouncement with an appropriately placed yawn. "Coldplay's successful and they're good, too. Radiohead is successful and they're good. But Robbie Williams is shit. He hasn't been so successful. It's just the nature of the beast. Quality will shine through no matter what the country." Sou

It looks like the London Sun totally screwed up their facts when they published that their will be a Live Aid II next year. Yesterday, Bob Geldof said the story wasn't true and today, U2's Bono has also denied the article naming him one of the organizers. Before a meeting in Dublin yesterday for the EU, Bono told reporters "At this point there are no plans for a Live Aid 2". Coldplay were tipped to play if the plans went ahead. The Sun ran an article over the weekend stating both Geldof and B

It was four men and a baby yesterday as Coldplay took singer Chris Martin’s new daughter Apple out for a stroll. Chris, 27, carried the tot as they stepped out in London - while guitarist Jonny Buckland wheeled the buggy. Meanwhile Will Champion and Guy Berryman looked on as Apple, born on May 15, took centre stage. Chris was taking charge as mum Gwyneth Paltrow, 31, took time off feeding and changing nappies. They might be popstars but music was not what was on their minds when the two of them got chatting. Instead the conversation veered to the apple of their eyes - their kids. According to rate the music, British R and B sensation Jamelia gave baby advice to Coldplay singer Chris Martin who recently turned father to his baby girl Apple. Jamelia is also mom to three-year-old Teeja but incidentally she had no idea that Chris's wife Gwyneth Paltrow was expecting their first child at the time.

While fans may have been a bit surprised when actress Gwyneth Paltrow and her husband, Coldplay front man Chris Martin, chose the unusual name Apple for their baby girl, it turns out the moniker isn't so original after all. Apparently there are two other little Apples in the Martins' circle of acquaintances – the daughters of both Coldplay's booking agent, Marty Diamond, and Gwyneth's Shallow Hal director Peter Farrelly, are blessed with the off-beat name, reports a US magazine. While Marty
