  1. Zyloto, Mylo (which is a wrong spelling of Mylo Xyloto :joy:)
  2. I missed that part about never having performed before. Egypt and the Lotus flower ?
  3. Wow good thinking, Nie. I was looking for underwater cities :joy: Chris's head is lying near Boston in the video. Boston...flower...if it's not in the literal sense, then the Mayflower maybe ? There is a Colorado ski resort called steamboat...
  4. Yesss !!! But seriously, this stop-and-go game is annoying and already affecting a lot of people's lives. I deactivated my Facebook account a while ago for various reasons, one of them being the overload of Trump-related posts, but before that, well, I had made a lot of acquaintances with people from those and other countries who study or work in the US back when I was there, and on Facebook I saw that all their family lives are pretty messed up cause this administration is unpredictable - no one dares to leave the country to see their familes at home because they could get stuck there and not be allowed to return, families in turn don't dare to book expensive flights because it is unclear if they will be let in at the border and students don't apply for visas in the first place because they may get cancelled, trying for Canada or other countries instead. The US is very good in science and academia but in the long run this ridiculous game is going to harm this and other fields that rely heavily on international exchange. I hope it will get settled once and for all soon, but somehow I know Trump and his people will not stop trying.
  5. Hi, I love Hypnotised too, actually very much so, but @nvdmm just stated his personal opinion, and he did it not in a harsh or impolite way. He can state whatever opinion he wants to just like everyone else here. Everybody has different opinions, everybody has different tastes and has the right to criticise a song without being accused of not understanding it, as you just did. In fact, everything you just wrote could be applied to your opinion as well. Live and let live.
  6. I was about to ask the same but you beat me to it ;) So the rest should be: bells - ? - now in the morning - St.Peter won't call my name, but this one ??
  7. I wouldn't compare Hypnotised to the brilliance of their early works either, and i agree that it is wrong to think "slow song = Oldplay", I mean, just look at UATW or Everglow....). But I like it very much and I think that despite the electronic drum elements and synth, it carries a lot of emotion. This song touched me as soon as I heard it, which is also due to the string arrangement in the second half, and I do think the guitar has a bit of a PF-vibe (only the vibe, I'm not comparing the complexity of guitar lines). Also, Chris's vocals are among the best in the past three years. But we all have different tastes and opinions, and different songs click with us or they don't. You mentioned Atlas, that song for example never really clicked with me, and I have a similar opinion about it as you hav about Hypnotised.
  8. Is the name of the scientist Nie ? :P Seriously, I did not keep up with this riddle and have no idea what you are talking about :joy:
  9. I re-read those old posts and it put a smile upon my face  And yay for no period pain !!
  10. I came here with a load and I feel so much lighter since I met you Fly On
  11. Life goes on and gets so heavy The wheel breaks the butterfly For You
  12. You see no meaning to your life You should try You should try All you ever wanted was love But you never looked hard enough It's never gonna give itself up All you ever wanted to be Living in perfect symmetry White Shadows
  13. To mark the elections in the Netherlands (let's hope for the best), here is a study in contrasts:
  14. All of it !!!!! In particular: How infinite is space and who decides your fate Don't Panic
  15. I presume that was autocorrect, but it's funny :joy: Running and hiding Taking dividing You've got your secrets I've only got the Sleeping Sun Moses
  16. There are even more excuses if you start looking for them - I had a cold, I had been awake for around 20-21 hours at that point... :P Health is so central to life...often it is only when we lose it that we begin to appreciate its significance. I am frequently worried about getting this kind of diseases and am grateful for health, too. All the best to them, and you stay healthy ! We can change that on June 30, you know ;)
  17. Viva La Vida
  18. I have to say I'm not too big a fan of Gillette Stadium because it is so far away from Boston, AND (this being the real bummer) there is no public transport from Boston to Gillette for concerts. MBTA line runs only for Pats games but not for concerts, really inconvenient. I had to take a private bus company for 55 dollars, almost as much as my ticket (!) to get there last July.
  19. Thanks, you two ! And @alisbe remember your tweet that was on rotation during the show and ended up in the background of an official Coldplay photo ? :D
  20. Aww that's very nice of you to say :) It was the first time I used Coldplaying on mobile and I remember posting lots of updates and unimportant details the whole night and day after. But for me, at the time, it was really a huge, huge thing going there ! And keeping up with the community here during the whole thing is equally engraved in my memory as the morning show itself. Fun fact: Some people, including @iamsue and @Nie, tried to spot me in the crowd. Nie eventually made a screenshot and, in what must have been one of our first PM exchanges, asked if that was me. The photo was indeed me, but I found it completely awful :D A few days ago I thought, now with the distance of a year in between, I wanna see if the photo is really as terrible as I thought it was. So I searched for that conversation and looked at it again and thought.. OMG, it REALLY is as dreadful as I remembered it :joy: :joy: :joy: But thanks for taking it anyway, it was funny, Nie :p (Sorry for hijacking the gratitude thread for telling this pretty random story, lol)
  21. Der Meeeensch ist Mensch...no, not my cup pf tea either :joy: I am trying to enter too even if it's so far away I might not be able to go...if i'd win, maybe I could find a way. I already completed everything but the phone call for the first round.
  22. Today I am that grateful @flockofbirds222 has come back to the forum ;) and that one year ago on this day, I saw Coldplay live for the first time...
  23. Chris often writes lyrics with "She said:....", I just realized :) Got a tattoo and the pain's alright Just want a way of keeping you inside Warning Sign
