  1. What sucks the big cheese about it being radio only is that we know there are studio versions of Ladder to the Sun and Water Flows/Solid Ground/Whateverthehellitscallednow which we may never hear now. I was surprised by the b-sides for Talk, as well. Those were newly recorded. Surely they must have enough songs leftover from the year+ long X&Y sessions to have enough b-sides for 13 singles.

So. I know this is an extremely old question, but I've been thinking about it lately and it's been bugging the hell out of me. Anyway.... I know that the music the band uses to take the stage during the X&Y tour (or at least that they used at Coachella which is the only show I have actually heard) is Brian Eno's "An Ending (Ascent)." Does anyone know what the music is that they used on the Rush of Blood tour? I think it's also a Brian Eno track, but I'm not sure which.
  3. My favorite is the original. The lyrics of the new version are (in my opinion, anyway) crap. They came off, to me, like Chris was trying too hard to be political and just ended up rewriting Twisted Logic. And the new version sounds rather over-produced, as well.
  4. I would like the new setlist to be different every night. How boring must it be to play the same set night after night?

    It's crap. Total crap. :D
  6. I think they should record an album whenever the fuck they want. :D
  7. Don't quote me on this, but, I believe that the Australian release of the single has both Sleeping Sun and Gravity on it, and is a CD. As for songs like 'Deserter,' 'This Hollow Frame,' 'Eyes for Eyes,' and 'The Alchemist,' I doubt that we will ever hear them as they were only demo songs.
  8. I think I was more excited about Rush of Blood coming out than I was about X&Y. Don't know why, exactly.
  9. Well for me there's only one song: A Whisper. Amazing, amazing song! :)
  10. I must be the only one who seems to like X&Y more the more I listen to it. Anyway, I think bringing Ken Nelson back would be both good and bad. The good would be we know we would get a great album. But the bad part is that with him you would also get the same old Coldplay album; you would get Rush of Blood part 2. That seemed to be (at least from what I gathered) part of the reason they went with Danton for X&Y. I think bringing in a new producer with new ideas would be better than going back to the safe and reliable. Nigel Godrich sounds like a very good idea to me. Whatever they do, I don't think they should self-produce. They might not be able to survive it.
  11. Re: TALK B-Sides That's an old Rush of Blood track.
  12. I just made up a CD throwing all the b-sides (minus Pour Me) on at the end and the disc is 79:30 long.
  13. I'll settle for a quality live version of Poor Me. I'm just hoping that Ladder To The Sun and Solid Ground (or whatever it's called) make it as b-sides.
  14. I honestly think that the Zero Theory thing was a 100% crap rumor. It happens with most bands. Some person will claim to have heard the album or know the tracklist. I'm just surprised there was only one rumored tracklist.
