  2. Wow almost a year since AHFOD was released, I bought tickets to BC place in B3 row 55 seats 9 through 11. I'm selling these as I've gotten some better seats, is anyone interested ? Sent from my LG-H812 using Coldplaying mobile app
  3. I don't know about you guys, but as I was listening through each of the songs in the CD I finally got onto this and it was great throughout, but when Will jumps in with the backing vocals towards the end of the song it just gave me goosebumps, so well done. I love the feeling I get when I listen to this.
  4. Sorry was unaware of the thread. Thanks!
  5. So I was at work and my sister texts me that the album got leaked. I actually was kind of disappointed because I wanted to buy the physical copy put it in my car and then drive around. Will anyone else wait until next week to listen to it? It's so hard to control myself. Hope I'm not the only one.
  6. Luckily no, got off at 11 just got home. Just a part time job while I'm going to school full time, are you guys working as well or in school?
  7. Yeah about 3 of my friends are heavily into drake to the point of buying the overpriced OVO merchandise online and pretty much worshipping the guy [emoji23]
  8. Anyways guys my break at work is over! Keep the conversation going! I'll check back in tonight
  9. Even in BC, or atleast the lower mainland, it's been mostly Drake The Weeknd etc, I don't hate them but it's just that they're not my thing.
  10. I'm so glad I can connect with fellow Canadians on here! Coldplay aren't extremely popular with any of my peers or even my close friends which is a shame!
  11. Yeah it was a pretty good concert for what it was. ACDC are good at what they do!
  12. BTW is anyone planning to line up for general admission before the concert? I'm in BC and this will actually be my first Coldplay concert so can anyone give me tips on how early to line up and what to expect when lining up? Also how much are the costs to anyone that may have done it before?
  13. I think they will too. But I went to the acdc concert recently and that was sold out so I'm sure Coldplay could. That being said I believe Coldplay like the concerts to be more 'intimate' so I do believe it will be Rogers arena as well.
  14. This is a great thread! While there are lots of songs by Coldplay that have special meaning to me one that I'm listening to a lot of right now is O (Fly On) It seems that on the surface it really feels like a song of letting go. I remember watching the Zane Lowe interview and hearing Chris say it was difficult for him to hear it. For me personally I think it's a song of letting go and just dealing with disappointment. If I can take an educated guess as to what it might mean to Chris I think it may be something to do with death ( Maybe one day I'll fly next to you) I know you said don't take a guess as to what it means for Chris but i could not help it as to me it seems that way because I think it may be one of the saddest songs they have ever written. It's a very emotional song which for me makes it beautiful and one of my favourite by Coldplay.
  15. I can definitely relate with you on that. Conveniently ghost stories came out during a rough patch In my life so the album was on repeat and it helped me get through stuff. I had ghost stories, with or without you, sometimes you can't make it on your own, and I still haven't found what I'm looking for all on repeat Lol. Music definitely helps you get through stuff, especially when it's from bands as good as u2 and Coldplay
  16. Obviously my theory was somewhat broad and general and I did not go into depth on HOW each band experimented and WHAT it was they exactly did. This was a theory that literally came to mind while I was laying in bed and I couldn't sleep. It's a very general and broad theory and it was more so focused on how they started experimenting in almost identical time periods and the fact that it may lead to coldplays music being a bit toned down in the 2020's. That being said I love that I'm getting good feedback and discussion on my first ever thread that I have created. I appreciate it and keep the discussion going! Anything U2/Coldplay related! Thanks:)
  17. I don't know if this is entirely worth a new thread but I'm fairly new on here so if I'm breaking a rule feel free to remove this. Now with that being said an interesting thought that came to my mind... I'm also a huge U2 fan as well and it's known that U2 has had a profound influence on Coldplay as a band. Especially how Johnny models some of his playing like the edge in the use of delay and what not. I can't help but think how Coldplay followed a similar pattern of U2's which in the 80's came out with some of their best music notably The Joshua Tree being their most famous album of the 80's. I can't help but compare the Joshua tree to something like Viva La Vida because both of the follow ups were albums that experienced a change in style and music. U2 was known for lots of experimentation in the 90's with albums like Zooropa and Pop and it seems that in their second decade of being around Coldplay seems to be heavily experimenting as well. The point I'm trying to get across here is U2 in the 00's began to go back to similar sounding songs that they had in the 80's (to an extent) and their style in general became a bit toned down. Do you guys think the 2010's is a decade of experimentation with Coldplay and that in the 2020's we can see more albums coming out similar to AROBTTH Parachutes X&Y etc? Just an interesting though/theory that came to mind, I would love to hear what you guys think about it.
  18. It seems as if their becoming more and more of a pop band. Although I understand that It's unreasonable to expect them to keep coming out with songs like they did before I just heard the song and I wasn't too stoked about it. Albeit this was only one song and there's lots of other songs on the album such as Amazing Day ( Which IMO was better than AOAL) so maybe the rest of the album is a bit different. (Fingers Crossed)
  19. Is anyone as extremely nervous as I am? I don't know what to expect my heart is actually starting to beat really fast. LOL
  20. I'm listening to BBC radio 1 and I can listen to it fine to my surprise, without any add-ons on my browser. I'm in Canada.

  23. Any Canadian fans from BC? Can't wait until coldplay comes here to perform. Also do you guys think they might do BC place this time or just stick to Rogers arena?
