Btw i think that, as many of us said, we've to consider many thing before 'judging' them,like the thing that it was the first show,that they'll improve each song day by day and so on...I think that a song like army will get better on next shows, at least for what i hear from jonny:bucktooth: I'm surprised about hearing that chris wasn't feeling perfect but as we hear in many song that could be the reason why he sang in a different/bit worse way! As if I'm going to see them live for the first time,in Manchester, I'm positive about setlist and hoow they'll play the whole set!at least it will be worth,for me, only to hear Clocks and Fix you:braces:

So I'm not the only one who is still waiting for a full video of Birds!:braces: Hope someone will post it..at least we'll to wait few shows to see it! (I really want to know how Chris play it!)

ETIAW is now enterly played with the guitar by chris,and I found it nice! I also think that they didn't respect the whole setlist 'cause at the end of Hymn you can hear Midnight starting,while it was expected after Politik I guess that Politik will be played in every show because if you watch at the beginning you can see videos about war showed on the screen (before chris start singing) and this let me think that they'll play it for sending some kind of messages, as we all now how things are going nowadays!

I've to say that I was so excited too when i saw the 'fake' setlist,but I think that as its the first leg of this tour,as many said, shows'll be better and better..I really hope so! And I hope they'll ad few more song that haven't been played last night:fingersx: About the cover i think that it can find place if there are more song played,not if the setlist is like the one they had! I'm looking forward to see a video about Birds,which is one of the best song of the last album and i'm curious to see how is played :guitarist: Army of one, which is a song that I appreciate(except for that 'army of one' repeated for the whole song),could be played better by Chris...Jonny's part is so nice for the whole song but chris didn't played well as I expected and, as he had to do for other songs, he should play that song on piano,not only singing! Btw I think that is a good point to start and we'll see how the next shows will be!!

Hi everybody! I'm going to see them here next 4th of June and since its my first time ever that I go see them live and I'm not from uk,i wish to know few things: - I have orange standing tickets, how much time should i go to the stadium before they open the gates? - At the end of the concert I'll have to go back where I've booked but the metro will still be available to use at that time, i guess around 0:00/1:00 am or at least the bus/tram or not? Thanks for who ever will help me!

Mmm I'll better traslate the sentire post then :D Its obviusly that they'll not play song that are already on the setlist... Btw, I'll riassume what he said: ''what we want for this tour is to give space to our fan and let them choose a song to be played. They'll have to motivate why they choose that song and then we'll be motivated to play it''...''Someone could ask to play The hardest part or to play Spies from Parachutes'' And ''we are happy to play our old song and in this tour we'll have a setlist that will really satisfy us'' Thats essentially what he said,so, this time I truly believe that they'll play songs that have been not played since years and if the majority of Coldplay fans not only know the last 2 albums,i guess we'll have some great moments :)

In these non-optimistic comments I just want to share a thing that i read on coldplayzone.it...Chris said that during the tour they'll give the opportunity to the fans to choose a song to be played during the concert!...So at least,who will ever go and see them will have the chance to choose a great song :D I think I'll choose arobtth,so great live!

Thanks for the answer...Reading all the comments and some chris interviews just let me wondering that they should take a break for while after this tour..I hope it won't be for so long (about 7/8 years) but still enough to let them,or better Chris, put some new ideas up I appreciate some of the new songs and I'll enjoy them as much as other old song,but some other don't make me feel so good.. For example,about Hftw,i think that is just another Chris fancy like asfos,poc,nothing more...but we'll hear that song live for a while...how this song started in some way is not so much different as yellow,if you remember how that song started...But Yellow is not even comparabile to that 'song' and that's sad :D The only thing i wish is that they'll keep in mind what they're really good at,doing great song with only 4 instruments,and since they are still able to do it (atlas,ghost story,miracles) i won't give up hoping in this

I'm really interested on trading this thread,because I agree in many things and because here's where people talk about their best works... However I just want to ask a thing here in this topic,even if I don't dislike the new Lp (i think that few songs are really valid,expecially live),due to what I read about latest Chris's interviews where che speaks about doing rock...We all know that Chris isn't always serious and that some news don't say everything what he mean in a correct way,but for you,after this album, do you think that they'll do something different,new, but also with an 'old' sound or not?(songs like moving to mars,atlas and ghost story for me are the proof that if they want they still can do song with the old style)...or at least,is Chris changed so much in these years that he won't never consider to go back to his roots in some way? Hope I've been clear this time... Btw,i think that Clocks live in Toronto 2006 is the best version they made so far :) ...at least,all this concert was amazing :D

I'm sorry if I offended someone in any way and if I've expressed myself incorrectly, i wish to say my opinion about this, maybe using not the correct words (english is a pretty different language than italian and sometimes is hard to express some ideas) and as you said, all the opinion are equal important! I got a bit angry with people,that are not even in this thread, who gave those description to this album and define themselves coldplay fan,thats all...Its not that 'I love this album', its about judging their work so hard in a negative way...But who simply don't like it and prefere the other albums have all my respect! :) I'm the first who says that this is not their best album, it can't be compared with the first 3 and Viva at all, but there's much difference between this and saying that is totally trash many people or 'reviewer' have said,thats all!

Hi everybody,i read tons of comments about this album,new songs and them in general,here in this forum,in the facebook official page and the italian fanpage( I'm italian :D) and i wish to share my point of view... Fist of all I've to say that I've discovered them only 8 years ago, by listening Clocks and since then I can only say that 'I grew up' with them,learning and listening everything they did! I don't want to spend so much words about what I feel when I listen to their masterpiece 'cause everyone know that, but I want to specific that AROBTTH is simply THE masterpiece,everything in that album just blew my away every time! That said, I've a question that I had in mind since the album release...Why there's so much hate/disgust/angry with this work? I personally think that it's not their greatest album but is also not their worst!It can be easily placed over MX or at least at the same rank in terms of quality. I just loved Birds,Everglow and Up&Up since the first listen in the same way that I loved Clocks,the Scientist,Square One,Atlas and so on...When you first listen a Coldplay song you get throw away immediately,that I mean..And I found Coldplay in those songs too! For eg I hope Birds will be played live, with Chris playing the acoustic guitar..Would be amazing! Also Fun,Amazing Day and AHFOD are great songs (that mantain the same style of their last albums) but always Coldplay are! I don't really get when people say 'A Chris solo's album', 'I can't even hear Will in this album', 'Everglow is the worst song they made' and so on... Do that people even heard the album?..I won't say anything about Will,just go re-listen the album. About Everglow, i wonder if this song was put on VlV or Mx?Everybody would say that is an amazing song that only Coldplay can make...But placed in this album it seems that is another 'plastic' song,unbelievable...I can hear an amazing piano,with Chris perfect voiceover and huge Jonny's solo,in a pure Coldplay style...And I don't think they discovered this song for second before the release of the album or that is Guy's favourite one of this album, for nothing. Up&Up is a Coldplay masterpiece at all,just listen it live played...Simply no words when i listen to it!(studio version should have piano inside but is still great at all) I've not talked about AOL or Army of one,which I think that are ok and that I'll listen just for Jonny I guess :D Also when i read about laks of lyrics it makes me a bit angry,'cause they are not all Fix You but also they are not all trash... But I want also to say that they made some mistakes in this album,of course, by doing that trash,awful,and whatever you want, piece of sound called X marks the spot, simply the worst stuff made by them in 19 years that they are together...thing like this shouldn't have been put inside the album! I guess that I could cry when i think that another ghost track was 'Til Kingdom Come...Omg By the way,if you add to this the obama snippet and Hymn for the weekend (can be a great song for most of the people but except piano riff and Jonny usual work, i can't like this song at all...Plus its more Coldplay feat Byonce this than Coldplay feat Tove Lo in Fun, for me..) then you'll have what went wrong in this album. I started to think that the hated ASFOS, which i learned to appreciate (Live,to be specific), would have been one of the greatest songs if they didn't add those shitty avcii things and with a more meaning lyrics...You can say I'm mad, but I simply loved Jonny's work in this song,its amazing and its also nice to play it with guitar..Just go see the making of the video,where Chris sing enterly the song or at least the live version!Thats is what i wanted to be that song...but still better than HFTW So, there'll a lot to talk about this, but i wanted to 'defend' them and the album because i found unfair critic them so hard for everything,when good stuff has been made at all! At least I think that this album can't even be compared with Parachutes or AROBTTH, due to the fact that in those 2 masterpieces there were different atmosphere,sounds,vibes and feelings, at least opposite than this last album...What makes Coldplay unique is that i can find exactly how i feel in one of their song, so if I feel in a certain way I'll listen to brother and sister, careful where you stand acoustic, We never change,Arobtth,Amsterdam, if I need something else I'll listen to Clocks,Fix you,Yellow,The Scientist,'til Kingdome come,Violet Hill, and so on, if you got what i mean. I hope that i've explained at least well what i wanted to say and just to be clear,its my point of view :)
