Banker Caught Looking At Nude Girl While Colleague Is Talking Interest Rates On TV
This is how I do my investment research, too. I'll have Jim Rogers commentary in one tab, and the "Sexy Fit Men" thread in the other.

lol, He probably inadvertently made more money by doing that rather than making bad trades.

Unemployment numbers revised - upward.
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601109&sid=aNSc0oQ0vb4M&pos=10 http://apnews.myway.com/article/20100202/D9DK7V400.html But it was only 824,000 lost-jobs off. Close enough. Quite a "recovery" we're having, eh? I'm glad that multi-trillion dollar stimulus bill passed.

Don't try to pet a police dog.
http://www.lewrockwell.com/blog/lewrw/archives/49320.html Sorry for the particular language used in this posting, lewrockwell.com is an anti-government website, so it can be striking to those who aren't used to reading rants by extreme libertarians. But they are also reliably accurate, and if they ever make a mistake it is corrected prominently. So I generally trust the blog.

Groundhog Day star should be given his freedom, says animal rights group
I think we ought to send him to the taxidermist for giving us 6 more weeks of Lose-ter this year.

Government's anti-cigarette drive to stop you smoking at the wheel and at home
I want to see Andy Burnham have the balls to enforce his ideas himself. That's right, Andy. Point a gun at people who choose to smoke in their car or sell cigarettes. You stupid sh!t.

Disney shows first black princess
Technically I think the princess in Aladdin was middle-eastern... I forgot her name. Oh yeah, Jasmine. And the first ginger princess was Ariel from Little Mermaid.

Children as young as 11 drinking nine pints a week
That picture of the three girls makes them look miserable. Come on girls, lighten up! You're drunk! Woooo!

Return to hell: British veterans re-enact the infamous Long March from the Great Escape prison camp
On a related note, I enjoy reenacting all my horrific life experiences. The time I asked out the pretty girl to the school dance, and she slapped me. The time I peed my pants in front of an auditorium full of cruel eyes. It's so much fun!

US responds to 'Bin Laden tape'
lol why would he claim credit for a failed attack? Trying to boost approval numbers for a crappy president? "hollow justifications for the mass slaughter of innocents"... you mean like "collateral damage"? Oh wait, no, that was the US Government's justification.

The Official Tennis Thread
I'm rooting for Roddick against Nadal but I know it's almost hopeless. Maybe there will be a koala-sex miracle, though.

'Something deeply wrong in society': David Cameron blames torture case on Broken Britain
*hands Chris a wooden block* Shut up and get in line. *everybody whacks own forehead with block* We are paying for the sins of society!

'Something deeply wrong in society': David Cameron blames torture case on Broken Britain
Okay I'm reading Reilly's posts and there are some points I agree with and some I disagree with. First off, Cameron is completely wrong that the government can do anything to reduce violent crime. You can't just threaten people to be nice "or else". If someone has a violent inclination, they'll come up with some excuse to act on it. Trust me. Second, children are not born violent. Unless there's a brain tumor or some insane hormonal imbalance, violence is something children LEARN. It comes from bad parenting. For some reason I can't fathom, British parents are among the worst among western democracies. They need classes or something.

Military-style spy planes 'to be used to target civilians in the UK'
Even though I'm a libertarian to the core, privacy just isn't at the top of my list of priorities. I don't mind if Jeff Goldblum is watching me poop. Just as long as he leaves me alone.

Spoilt BY choice?
lol this is one of the biggest criticisms socialists have about capitalism - there are simply too many choices! There are other studies I've read about that say people have a much easier time choosing between experiences - where to go for a vacation, for instance. Physical objects deteriorate over time, and better things come out... so they are just regret-pits.

Saudi girl, 13, sentenced to 90 lashes after she took a mobile phone to school
Assault? Well let's assault her! It's this "eye for an eye" nonsense that makes people barbaric. Except in instances of self-defense, it's just not civil.

Saudi girl, 13, sentenced to 90 lashes after she took a mobile phone to school
Or even private book-rental businesses! ;)

Saudi girl, 13, sentenced to 90 lashes after she took a mobile phone to school
Good choice! I think a good analogy to use is a minefield, and the mines are the laws. Just don't step on them and you'll be fine. When a statist complains about a certain law, I really can't have too much sympathy for them. What's the old saying? "Ignorance of the law is no excuse" or something. Get reading! ;)
