Where can I download it? Do you have to pay for this?- Alonso to join McLaren
Alonso won't drive for McLaren next season. ;)- UEFA Champions KO round draw
Thanks, I didn't know. I don't know if you can watch the CL online. Tell me, if you can. That would be useful, because they tend to show the 'wrong' matches on Swiss TV.- Alonso to join McLaren
Alonso joins McLaren in 2007 In a shock announcement, McLaren have confirmed that 2005 Formula One world champion Fernando Alonso will join the team from 2007. The team, however, did not mention who the Spaniard's team-mate would be, increasing speculation that Kimi Raikkonen might join Ferrari in the same season. The 24-year-old Spaniard became the sport's youngest champion this year, winning seven grands prix to beat McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen by 21 points, and last April extended his contract with Renault to the end of 2006. Alonso also helped the Oxfordshire-based team to the 2005 constructors' title ahead of McLaren, who won 10 races through Raikkonen (seven) and Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya. "To become part of a team with such a desire to succeed and passion for performance is a dream come true for any Formula One driver," Alonso said in a McLaren statement. "Obviously I will be sad to leave Renault but sometimes possibilities come along which are just too good to miss." McLaren team principal Ron Dennis said the announcement had been made to enable all the drivers to concentrate on next season. It came five days after McLaren announced a title sponsorship deal with mobile phone giants Vodafone who switched from Ferrari. "We always make it clear that we want to be the best and the only way of achieving this objective is by attracting the best people, the best drivers and the best sponsors," Dennis said in the statement. McLaren last won the drivers' title in 1999 with Finland's Mika Hakkinen. Finn Raikkonen and Montoya will race for McLaren next season with one of the two making way for Alonso in 2007. Alonso was contracted to Renault when they were still racing under the Benetton banner in 2001, paying his dues on loan at Minardi and as a test driver before getting one of the two racing positions in 2003. He won his first grand prix in Hungary that year and finished sixth in the championship. He was fourth the following year before his stellar 2005 season. Raikkonen is out of contract at the end of 2006 and has long been coveted by Ferrari as an eventual replacement for seven-times world champion Michael Schumacher. Brazilian Felipe Massa is joining Ferrari in 2006 but only on a one-year deal while 36-year-old Schumacher's contract expires at the end of next season. "We are in discussions with our current drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Juan Pablo Montoya regarding the 2007 season," Dennis added. "Both Juan Pablo and Kimi are extremely talented, professional and competitive Formula One drivers and they have and will continue to concentrate on our joint challenge for the championships." There will also be the question of who replaces Alonso at Renault in 2007. Australian Mark Webber, managed by Briatore, will be out of contract with Williams by that point while Renault also have promising Finn Heikki Kovalainen waiting in the wings as their 2006 test driver.[/b]- A thread for the hottie Nigel!!!
I guess so. :wink3: You never know. :D- Mariana´s thread!!!!
Boring as hell. Five hours German, four hours French, four hours Spanish... there are almost only the subject I dislkike left. Bye, I hhope you have a nice weekend, too!- Mariana´s thread!!!!
I have to go now, see ya!- Mariana´s thread!!!!
Thanks! No, I don't think I can a lot lose there., I will just get to know new people and have a good time over there... at least, I hope so. I'll be so happy when I have finished school, it's so boring... the last year is the most boring. I feels like being at a language school.- UEFA Champions KO round draw
You can watch the CL in China. :o- UEFA Champions KO round draw
Intersting draws, especially Chelsea- Barca. I'd say Barca can do it this time. Anyway here my predictions... Chelsea - FC Barcelona -> Barca Real Madrid - Arsenal -> Real Werder Bremen - Juventus -> Juve Bayern Munich - AC Milan -> Milan PSV Eindhoven - Olympique Lyon -> PSV Ajax - Internazionale -> Inter Benfica - Liverpool FC -> Liverpool Rangers - Villarreal -> Villarreal- Mariana´s thread!!!!
Yeah, I just feel that I have to do it... If I stayed here, it probably would be more difficult for me three months later, when I go to a different town in Switzerland, which I have to do when I go to Uni.- The Swiss Club thread
Oh, well. I just don't wanna learn this language. :embarrased: I don't see why everyone in our country has to lern French. In the part of Switzerland, where people speak French, they learn German at school, but if you go there almost nobody can speak German. Because most people can't speak those languages, so you normally speak English anyway.- Mariana´s thread!!!!
Why not? Sure it won't be easy, but I normally don't have anny problems to understand people. I jut wanna go abroad and do something different. I've been to school here for so long now, I live in this village since we moved there when I was five. I'm just a bit bored of that actually. I know that I won't be able to realax when I'm here. Most of my friends either have to work or aren't here. So I'd probably get bored pretty soon. I think it's a great experiene, I will have to go to a different town when I go to Uni anyway. A quite comprehensible point, Sally! Well, with me it's... ehm, I'm living in a kinda big city and I think my last year in school was very great and right now after school I have my probably best time in my life... and I don't want to loose all my friendships and relationships by moving to another country... I even won't move far away from here for studying (just about 50km to Hamburg) so... I'm kinda homebound (meaning my hometown, not my home ^^) But I agree, that life in a village is _totally_ different and way boring, so maybe I would have done the same like you... I understand what you mean... I don't wanna lose my friends here either, there are some people I like very much, and I know that I will miss them a lot. But the problem is that most of them are gonna leave this place as well. Manys friends have finsished their apprentiship last year, or they are gonna finish it next summer. Most of them will have to leave this place because they won't find a job here. The majority of the adult people that live here work in the area arund Zürich, which is about an hour from here. I also have a lot of friends that are going to Uni next year and they won't stay here either. I think it will be a great experience to live in another country for a few months. I'm sure I'll worry before I go, it won't be easy to go to a town where you know absolutely nobody. But I always wanted to go to England and now I have the chance to go there, so...- A thread for the hottie Nigel!!!
Yeah, I already told him.. he understood. I'm just really disappointed because I'm sure it would have been great, and now, I'll be at home talking to people I only see once a year, not knowing what to talk about at all. It will be boring as hell, but it's just one of those things you have to do. You are right, it's almost impossible to persuade your parents about those kind of things. I mean I could just go, but they wouldn't understand and get very angry and probably not talk to me again for a few weeks. Anyway, we'll go later, but just for a weekend or so.- Say words for Christmas in your own language!!!
I wünsch eu a schöni Wiänacht und ä guäts Neus!- Mariana´s thread!!!!
 Maybe she's a nasty girl. :wink3: :P I have to go now. See ya!- What is your favourite christmas-song?

Hi! I'm ok, could be better though. I was invited to go on vactions with a friend. I was so happy that he invited me, but I can't go because I must stay here. The first day would be 26th December and we'll have all our relatives visiting us. My parents absolutely want me to be at home. If I go, they probably won't talk to me for two months. I just don't wanna tell him that I won't come. He'll probably think that I don't want to, but that ain't true at all. :(- Mariana´s thread!!!!
I haven't started my studies yet. I still have to go to school. :( I'm going to Uni next year.- Mariana´s thread!!!!
I wouldn't go to London, it's the most expensive place in England. But it's a great city of course. What are you studying or what do you wanna study? - /// Baker's Dozen Game ///
