  4. :embarrased: Ok yeah, i messed that one up pretty bad. It almost got me crucified :o Her favorite song is Evil (track #2) from the album Antics. At this point i have no idea what i am referring too as i am simply regurgitating (sp?) this info from my friend. Thaks for the welcome Ms. Chen :D
  5. Imagine, now that's a great song. :D
  6. Oh yeah I almost forgot... :idea2: On the scientist, i got the chords (from an earlier post :D ) but what is the timing. It is my understanding that your left hand is playing eighth notes and your right hand playing quarter notes. Is this right?
  7. Hey Shane, or anyone else for that matter, I am interested in buying a piano (i doubt my parents will let me take my sisters after all :x ) So iguess my question is would it be better to buy an electronic piano or a real one. And what would be important features ( ) to look for when considering each?
  8. Favorite Beatles song :o ?? Yeah right! That'll never happen! There are too many good songs out there. I'm more of an old school beatles fan myself (thank you mom  ) I bought her some Beatles vinyl from a radio interview of the Beatles (In the UK) in 1965. It is supposed to be pretty hard to find.  I can't think off the top of my head which songs they performed :snore: ok i'm done now
  9. :idea2: My friend just played some Interpol for me on our way to lunch yesterday. Fancy that i ran into this forum today. They were good. I didnt get to hear that many songs, just her favorite one (track 3 i think) of im not sure which album. But she told me that she has been listening to that one track for about 8 straight days :stunned: could i possibly be anymore vague  ? Lets not find out
  10. I have a Takamine Jasmine (Acoustic/Electric) Some other cheap hand-me-down guitar that i learned on. Bach Stad. Trombone ...and i'm trying to steal my sisters piano right now :sneaky: Hey she just had a kid, she's not going to be needing it any time soon
  11. I started learning on a cheap guitar that my mother bought me for christmas a few years back. After about a year of practicing i decided to buy my own after trying out a few friends guitars. :rockstar: Yamaha is a great acoustic (at least the models i have played), but my personal favorite/recomendation would be a Takamine Jasmine. I prefer the sound and tone you get from one of those. Mine is acoustic/electric... in case i feel like plugging into an amp :sneaky:
  12. Que rollo, Andrés? Que chingón, Su primer foro y ya te ligaste! Bienvenido al foro (de un Mexicano perdido en gringolandia) :sombrero:
  13. Hello Meg. I'm Oscar, nice to meet. :daisy: I'm new here myself, though i have been a huge fan of coldplay since 2000 :D
  14. I'll be sure to hit you up with any problems or bumps i run into. Hopefully i'll be able to improve now that i have a little more music to play. Now if i could just steal my sisters piano... :sneaky:
  15. Well I got an acoustic and all i use is Elixir medium. The sound great and last a long time.
  16. Takamine Jasmine Acoustic Electric + some other cheap guitar (my first one) that my mom bought a while back me so i could learn. And also my sisters piano (brand??) that i get to play when i go visit my parents. I'm in the process of relocating the piano to my apartment... hehehehe :sneaky:
  17. You're welcome. The names Oscar by the way. Ever since i heard the Scientist i taught myself how to play the piano... sort of. Anyways, since i don't have my own I don't get to practice it much, but whenever i get a chance to play one the Scientist is always the first thing i bust out. Now thanks to you i can expand my repetoir (sp??). BTW, how did your gig go? Cheers!
  18. Awesome! I just heard about the new CD/Song yesterday during my lunch break. I tried to find a clip online but couldn't. But as soon as i got in my car for the drive back to the office it came on as if on command. I jammed out all the way to work. Now i can keep on jamming to it when i get home tonight. :guitarist: Thanks a lot Will
  19. I am with Jackie on this. It was spring of 2000 when i first heard Yellow. Then i saw the video and waited for something good to happen. In the end i thought about it and decided it was different enough to be good.
