  1. It's actually better on second viewing, but it feels like there are too many jumps around, it's a bit frantic. I don't really know, but the audio sounds great!
  2. The streaming audio of Fix You is awesome. The video (again) from Sao Paulo is disappointing, it doesn't feel natural and has too many cuts. The Live 2012 remains the standard for a live version of that song, imo.
  3. On the topic of soundchecked songs, does anyone know any details as to if Square One was soundchecked during the AHFOD tour? I thought I read that it was somewhere and I'd love to see a recording of this. It hurts me that they don't play this masterpiece anymore lol.
  4. I figured I'd make a thread for people who wanted to meet up for the film. I just wanted to say I plan to attend the showing on Nov. 14 at the Cinépolis theater in West Hartford, Connecticut (USA) and was wondering if anyone wanted to meet!
  5. I have to say, I was disappointed with the new Viva video (too many cuts, not organic), and the audio of it released on all streaming platforms sounded meh and Chris' vocals were strained and lyrics cut short because he was out of breath. Didn't give me the same hair standing up on the back of my neck feeling like LRLRL or live videos from the VLV and MX eras. But I just listened to the new UATW released on Amazon and it is a 10/10, exceeded my expectations and is far superior to the album version and Live 2012 version. The mixing is A+, and Chris' vocals were excellent. Will's vocal harmony+ piano, Jonny's guitar, Guy, everything was spot on. You can really hear the stadium echoey atmosphere and it works really well with the song. Just awesome. I'm excited for the whole live album now, but unfortunately I don't think we will get this kind of quality in songs where Chris is off the walls jumping around.
  6. I was saying like keep the 30 pages of "Live album in November" stuff and Butterfly Package stuff in one thread (since the Butterfly thing is what we were really speculating about for a year), and just take out the AHFOD documentary news from last week into another thread (since that was kind of a surprise). But again, doesn't really matter lol. Thanks for all your work for the rest of us fans.
  7. Is it any coincidence that the only X&Y reference is of the Baudot code being torn apart in a basket? :joy:
  8. Yes, was thinking this exact same thing. The video tries to do way too much. Plus like the crowd noise changes volume at weird points? And there are too many cuts overall. It feels like we see Chris for like 10 seconds lol. Also the only downside to picking these concerts for the CD and DVD are that it sounds like Chris' vocals were strained at this point in the tour.
  9. It feels like the other AHFOD movie thread with 40+ pages was more geared towards the anticipation of the live album/cd whereas the documentary film stuff is maybe deserving of its own separate thread. Not that it matters, just a thought (mods).
  10. Guys The Scientist live version on cd!! Never thought I'd see the day. But no live Birds audio :( SJLT will be getting skipped everytime :joy:
  11. I am so happy that South America was picked as the place for all of this. I've never been to a concert there but they have the best crowds judging from video. This is so much material and the cover art is absolutely stunning. Incredible. And I love the continued butterfly theme from LRLRL. It's all perfect I'm pumped
  12. Omgthings are happening dnkdxmkshd everything is happening here it is djdjdndjk
  13. Side note, I couldn't be more thrilled to see a clip of Toronto 2006 in the trailer, a.k.a. (pronounced ah-kah) the best pro shot Coldplay concert.
  14. They wanted to go to Porto, but too much to do in only 1.5 weeks I suppose. I will let them know. Next stop is Switzerland and Austria though, haha.
  15. Lisbon, Sines, Lagos, Faro, Evora, Peniche. (sorry if mispelled) It was my mom's first ever visit to Europe and she absolutely loved it. What a gorgeous country you have it appears! I really want to make it over there some day.
  16. Couldn't help but notice that you've been on these forums since 2003! You've lived quite a bit of life since joining this place, but still haven't lost your interest in the band. That is amazing. I wish I had been a fan a long time before I became one.
  17. I'm very excited for the film (almost 2 hours!!!!) and seeing the history and build up of the band to the current day. But.... Isn't it a bit concerning that this movie is coming out now? If I recall correctly, multiple band members were asked during the AHFOD era if they would ever make a film like the Oasis-Supersonic film, and I think Guy said something to the effect of "I don't think we are quite at the point of looking back yet like Oasis". With Chris' statement that this is like the finale of a series of books, and a film looking back on their career, I just hope that the band is still hungry for more and make more music with the intent that they have something to prove. I obviously expect them to make more albums (I think they are under contract with Parlophone for 2 more?), but it feels like they are still young and haven't finished "writing their book" yet. Again, super hyped for the film. But a film like this usually feels like a statement of finality.
  18. I've always wanted behind the scenes/insight into the X&Y era and it looks like we will get just that and then some! The inner band stuff/negative reaction in the mid-2000s is so fascinating to me. It makes X&Y just that much better. Can't wait to see how they all reflect on that time period.
  19. Does anyone have any insight into the odds of the film being shown in every state in the U.S.? Like was Live 2012 shown in theaters across the U.S.? Or just like select major cities...
  20. Inject all the 20 years of behind the scenes footage right into my veins.
  21. Here's to hoping they reward us for waiting by including new music in the DVD or album. Preferably not Life is Beautiful, or hopefully a much improved version with better lyrics and fewer Ole's.
  22. You've summed this up pretty perfectly. This is precisely how I feel. I can listen to 90% of their released music from the first 6 album eras and not get sick of it. Their music takes me to another universe. I don't always understand what Chris' lyrics are trying to convey, but the music makes me feel exactly what the lyrics are saying. And no other band or artist has this effect on me. I've tried and tried to find other artists that come close to Coldplay for me, but can't.
  23. Taking care of my dog at my parent's house while they are away on vacation in Portugal. Therefore, time to queue up Toronto 2006 on the 60 inch tv with surround sound on full blast!
  24. He certainly was joking a bit, but he definitely cares more about cars at this point than Coldplay
