I heard Up In Flames for the first time at the Austin City Limits taping last month. When I heard it then it made me tear up and it was no different when I heard the studio version of it. There is just something so beautifully haunting about the song and one of the few songs that can make me cry. The Scientist being the main song...

Yes and no.... No, because i've seen them several times in the last few months and it was kinda awesome to hear new songs live even before the album was out. Yes, because the studio versions cannot even compare to the live versions of the songs, although Charlie Brown comes close...

No, I don't think so. They said in the XFM playback interview yesterday that they scraped the whole item of doing an acoustic record because they weren't sure how it would work live and that they didn't know where the excitement would come from at the live shows. So instead they created an album that had a large mix of songs. As much as I would love an all acoustic album, I don't think it will happen. :confused:

I voted no because I feel that the studio versions of some of the songs cannot compare to the live versions. For example, Hurts Like Heaven and Major Minus are better live in my opinion than on the album. I do like the studio versions of UATW and Charlie Brown but they are better live as well.
