  1. thank you so much!!!!!
  2. I was just watching old youtube videos and noticed how extravagant Coldplay shows were lol 2008/2009: The Blue Danube 2011/2012: Back to the Future theme 2016/2017: O Mio Babbino Caro Anyone prior to VLV can tell me what the intro music was for the 3 tours? if any...
  3. Viva la vida .... for me. I just never liked it..
  4. Hey Tom, Yup, I've seen the pics. You're a lucky person! Very nice of Chris to give you his shirt! band really cares about their fans :D oh, welcome to the site!!!
  5. hahahahah! my cousin and r i were literally screaming and giddy even before we saw the roadie. also I wish a roadie was present around the area where you were given a xyloband etc, we were having a heart attack putting it on LOLOL. ahhh maybe next tour! it would have been amazing. that's amazing! anyone who dresses up like an elephant pretty much has a good chance o_O
  6. they did in chicago! I was looking forward to hearing kaleidoscope ep songs but they never played
  7. @brobbins Who knows? we might have passed each other! My cousin went with me to the concert & we saw the rickshaw drivers passing us. One even asked us if we wanted to ride but we didn't. How much was the rate? now I'm thinking I should have! Gotta try new things lol but anyways it was amazing hearing Coldplay blaring on the street. Yup, Coldplay fans descend upon the Windy City. @iamsue LOL I promised myself that I wouldn't take so much videos on this concert, since I attended one already. I couldn't help myself lol! I was too excited and the visually pleasing to not take pics. Although, my videos are bad. I blindly covered the mic. New phone so I'm not used to the mic placement. So I get cracking audio (ugh). I can't wait to see your pics! I'll try to share mine as well when I have time.
  8. Anyone here gotten an upgrade from their seats to front row? Applies to American shows, I guess. What are your tips of doing so? I went to Chicago concert and made a poster. (2 months ago, I was planning to design an apparel but with a college summer class; I became too busy to prepare.) Unfortunately, I had some hotel logistic troubles when I got to the city and I had to sort it out. I could have been to the stadium really early, like right when gates opened. (so bummed). I actually did see a roadie when I got there but by then there was sooooo much people. He was standing in the middle of the hallway by tables, concessions. He was just standing there with his arms crossed. He was observing?. I was holding out my poster open. Idk if he saw me or just didn't like my poster (it said "here in paradise"). I really wish I approached him instead but I felt doing that is very presumptuous. lol I hate being shy but that's a regret. Nonetheless my cousin & I still enjoyed the show from our nosebleed seats :) Wish I could afford to fly and follow them on tour. Hope everyone is having a great night.
  9. Yup! I saw them on Thursday in Chicago. My mood was on a rollercoaster because prior I had a really big assignment for my college summer class; a physics presentation. The same day, I left for Chicago to see them. Went home the next day and I'm at feeling blue too. Everything happened really fast. Sschool is about to start in a couple weeks again. *Sigh*
  10. Hi! I just saw this. Thanks for the reply. We ended up leaving at noon and then getting to Chicago by 5pm. Traffic wasn't too bad. Fortunately we booked a hotel right by grant park and there was a parking lot right across from the hotel. Also a walkable distance to the stadium. I agree with you. The south side didn't seem to good. Good thing my cousin warned me about it. We stopped for food and rest room in indiana and then just straight shot to Chicago. Good city, I just wish I was there for more than 1 night. Went home the day after the concert. Did you enjoy the concert ? :) it was amazing!
  11. i bought the kaleidoscope EP.... :p:p:p
  12. I was 9. I was sitting in my dad's car. We were in the parking lot somewhere, probably the store. I heard this song that had this really good riff. I never forget that moment. It was Clocks...around the time the album came out or months after and they were heavily on the radio. I didn't really get hardcore into them till years later, in high school during MX. Although over the years, I knew when they had came out with a new album or when they were in town. I wish I took more notice. I would have loved to go to the concerts then. X&Y and VLV. I didn't get to go to MX tour since I didn't have enough money to go. I was in high school, super bummed. 4 years later, AHFOD, saw them. AMAZING.
  13. Rear Window...Christopher Reeve 1998. 8/10...I thought it was crazy
  14. Moses....I really like that song
  15. I was wondering about this too. In my Place and Don't Panic are literally on loop. I would love to see other songs on the setlist for the stripped acoustic set. lol.
  16. Hello I just saw this. Sorry to hear that. I always want big fans to make a show. Yeah, Coldplay did not really explore much of the US. It's mostly east coast, midwest and west coast :weary_face: (I know it's a hot stop but they never have to worry about missing a show :expressionless:). I feel like this tour doesn't match up the magnitude of the MX and Viva la vida tour. I don't whether it's due to band's age and the hectic lifestyle wit h touring or just logistics issue such as unable to make agreement with venues etc.,. I was like you when I saw their dates for north america. It really is the same cities. It was annoying.
  17. Very happy for Latin America. LUCKY PEOPLE!:laughing::laughing::laughing:
  18. Hello, Sorry this is late. I haven't been on here... Just disappointed that Detroit isn't considered a big city anymore for the music industry, at least that's my opinion is. Detroit never makes it in the cut for the initial tour announcement for most musicians.
  19. Hi everyone, I am going to the show on 17th. is the area around soldier field super busy an hour or 2 before gates open at 5?. I assume it is but I am just confirming.... UGh I have class in the morning at 8, with a presentation so I can't skip but fortunately I can present early and leave early. It will take about 4 hour drive to get to Chicago since I live in a suburb of Detroit (SE Michigan). Thinking if I leave at 11:30am/12pm going at a reasonable speed, I can make it there around 3/4pm with the time change?.
  20. So I was sitting in my Physics class this morning and we started a new unit on waves. It got me thinking about the song "crest of waves".... crest meaning high point of the wave (in the song content, meaning "life".. It allowed me to interpret the song (plus not pay attention :| LOL ) as the narrator is singing from the highest point and that life has its up's and down's. well that was my morning
  21. Do you think they'll announce new dates (for NA at least)? looking through the current schedule, there's gaps (but I'm over thinking, maybe just for breaks). I would love to see Coldplay again in my home state of Michigan.
  22. To all, thank you for the warm welcome
  23. Hi everyone, I just bought tickets to Coldplay Chicago for August 17. I went last year to Detroit concert and would love to dress up for this concert. I've been watching a lot of Viva la Vida album live concerts on youtube and I was thinking I could remake Chris' military jacket to wear and with my AHFOD concert tee underneath it. Would that be weird to wear to a AHFOD concert? I really like the style or should I just limit to the current album style? Thanks. Any reply is welcome
  24. Hi everyone, I registered for an account last month and now just getting a hang of it right now. Hope everyone is swell & listening to Coldplay~
