Ghost Stories - Elimination Game
O is still my vote and will be until it is gone or until I decide to use strategy. I am a really big fan of ink even though I don't have any ink. To me the song is about a new love when everything is wonderful and new and you do stupid stuff because of that. It is something most people can identify with and the live version kicks ass. BTW, the live version of this album is way better than the studio version in my opinion. It is less polished and just sounds more genuine.

Ghost Stories - Elimination Game
Wouldn't a faster way to do it be to have people just rank the songs favorite to least favorite and assign points 9 to 1? Not trying to hijack your thread but you will take 10 to 14 days doing it this way but maybe that is your intent. Just an idea and not trying to upset the apple cart as my suggestion of O did. :p

Ghost Stories - Elimination Game
I have listened to the live GS album start to finish numerous time and while I get the purpose of this song as it relates to the album it just has too much imagery/symbolism for me. A flock of birds reference doesn't do it for me but to each his own. Chris obviously has an admiration of birds.

Ghost Stories - Elimination Game
O is my vote. I really like the live version of Another's Arms.

White Shadows (and it isn't even close).

Random Coldplay thoughts...
Fun was one of the first songs that I really liked on AHFOD. It is a reflective song about something that ended but remains upbeat which is a nice twist. When slotting it into all time favorite CP songs it won't register in hardly anyone's top 10 but I do enjoy listening to it, especially with Tove Lo on it. The song wouldn't be the same without her.

[2017-08-25] NRG Stadium, Houston, TX (Cancelled)
Was running over the weekend and skipped all but one CP song that shuffled on my mp3 player. The one song only made it a minute because I was thinking about something else and didn't notice what was playing. Once I did, I quickly skipped it. I think that is how I am going to have to deal with it for a while now. Just stop listening to them until I am not disappointed by the thought of listening to them. It is hard to reconcile something you enjoy so much disappoints you so much. I am off it.

Wow...I guess they are just too busy for us. Pretty crushing considering that I have looked forward to this for almost a year and it was a Christmas present to my son. My seats touched the extended stage. Don't know where to go from here and surprised that this is the result. What do you do when your favorite band disappoints you like this?

For the money I paid, I would very much like to see 2 hours of Coldplay. If they add other stuff onto that, great but I at would like to see the standard set. I think they maybe waiting till after the meat of the hurricane season. Maybe they fit us in at the end of the North America leg which the last show right now is 10/8/17?

Post Show Blues: 2017 AHFOD Tour
I would rather watch one of the concert DVDs to get a Coldplay fix than watch a stream from someone's phone, but maybe that is just me. But I can relate to your statement of immediately wanting to see them again. I saw them in Dallas 2016 and had that been at the beginning of the US tour instead of at the end of the US tour as it actually was I would have flown to another city to see them. Good thing they had the 2017 US tour.

The Astros have already played multiple home games at Minute Maid post Harvey. I suspect that the Texans will at most miss one home game on September 10th but even that could get played at NRG. The concert could be as early as mid/late September but I guess we won't know until it is announced. Hoping for a Friday or Saturday night.

At least they didn't use the word cancelled. Very disappointed but things like this happen for a reason. Guess I will have to watch Live 2012 tonight and have many beverages.

We maybe had 1/4 of rain so far and almost no wind. Conditions aren't bad in Houston. My 72 year old dad is driving in from New Orleans to watch 2 of my 3 kids while we go to the concert tonight. I hope he isn't driving here for nothing.

What was the first Coldplay song did you ever hear?
Yellow was good when I first heard it but The Scientist and the video for it really made me take a closer look at everything. I always really liked them over the years but didn't obsess about them till Ghost Stories. I saw the Ghost Stories Live on a 777 Dream Liner in October of 2014 and my life hasn't been the same since. To this day, that live production of that Album on Blu-Ray is one of the coolest things CP has recorded. I am glad the Blu-ray didn't have all the other songs it and it is just that Album. It is a masterpiece.

What is your favourite Coldplay song today?
This question really isn't fair to pick just one. The real answer is it depends on what kind of mood I am in. Sometimes it is Charlie Brown, other Politik or Hurts Like Heaven or God Put a Smile Upon Your Face or Daylight or Shiver or you get the point. I have a hard enough time picking best Album between Rush of Blood, MX and Ghost Stories. Again, that might go back to mood as well.

Worst Coldplay Songs Ever!
Look, I am all about the lesser known songs that you don't hear on the radio. I love Daylight, Fun, Another's Arms and on and on and on. Most of the time I skip the songs that they play all the time just because I have heard them so many times. But with that said, Viva la vida is one of the top 5 CP songs ever. I am sorry that you don't like it. "Be my mirror my sword and shield". But to stay on Topic, I would go with White Shadows I think it is. No aspect of the song that I really like.

Anyone blaming the band for this it is best if they aren't at the concert anyway. Chris, Jonny, Guy and Will are great guys and are in a no win situation. They don't want to disappoint their fans like me that want to go and have looked forward to this for 10 months and they don't want to disappoint their fans that can't make it. If they do the concert, face value refunds should be offered to those who can't make the concert and didn't have the ticket scanned. We will find out tomorrow at noon but I hope in some way it works out for everyone involved. "The closing walls and the ticking clocks".

[2017-08-25] NRG Stadium, Houston, TX (Cancelled)
It does suck for people who planned to fly in and then fly out Sunday or when the storm is worse in Houston. They could always reschedule their flight out of Dallas, New Orleans or something to that effect. Rent a car one way and get out of dodge. But that is just me as I would do anything to see them. Having been through hurricanes all my life, as long as you take the proper precautions and are smart about it, you will be fine.

;) I can hear Charlie Brown beginning to play now and Chris saying "Now everybody chop chop chop".

[2017-08-25] NRG Stadium, Houston, TX (Cancelled)
The only time period that matters is Friday at 5:00 pm till Saturday around noon. Pure and simple, this storm poses almost no threat to the Houston area beyond a normal rain event during that specific window of time. If the storm was right off the coast of Galveston instead of Corpus, then that would be a MUCH different story. Everyone with any sense would be wanting to cancel the concert. But you can't get freaked out by a satellite image of cloud tops when the meat of the storm is over 200 miles away. This isn't my first rodeo. We can agree to disagree Wmessin.

[2017-08-25] NRG Stadium, Houston, TX (Cancelled)
It will not have even made landfall by the time the show starts. I lived in Louisiana and was flooded for Katrina (yes we evacuated) and this storm is nothing but a rain event for Houston. Almost no one will evacuated from Houston. And the impacts of that rain won't be felt till Sunday. Houston doesn't have much "prep" to do so cancelling doesn't make sense to me.

[2017-08-25] NRG Stadium, Houston, TX (Cancelled)
Houston hourly forecast during concert time. Seems manageable with the storm being 200 miles to the south west. I am all for being safe but given the forecast, NRG will be safe even into Saturday. The heavy rain isn't expected in Houston till Sunday. If this concert was Saturday night, then you think hard about cancelling.

Per KPRC weather, NO FLOODING THREAT TILL SUNDAY for Houston. Houston should be good to go.

[2017-08-25] NRG Stadium, Houston, TX (Cancelled)
Great find. I was wondering if that was taking place. I agree with cutting the early acts and starting Coldplay at 7 to make it safer for people to get out. In my opinion, flooding won't start until Saturday anyway once the rains start to accumulate. I was in Dallas as well right by the C stage on the floor. Best concert I have even been to.
