I appreciate what you are saying as a die hard fan. I think Viva La Vida is their best song but it isn't my favorite because I have heard it so many times. If they were to play a smaller venue, then I think you would get to hear some of the lesser heard songs. Yes the setlist is probably about 85% predictable. I was very surprised to hear so many new songs off of Music of the Sphere's at the concert. For the Head Full of Dreams Tour, I don't think they played as many new songs as I heard in the Music of the Spheres Tour. I personally could have done without Human Heart and Let Somebody Go and heard some other lesser known songs from the catalog. But they aren't playing Speed of Sound. Chris has been on record that he doesn't care to perform that one as he doesn't think they got it right.

Boring??? They have a big catalog now and certain songs are always going to be in that line up. The majority of fans that go a CP concert are not die hard fans that know every song. I was on the floor last night in Houston and turned to people around me asking them what their favorite songs were. The answers were Yellow, Fix You, The Scientist and Viva La Vida. They are never going to do a concert that doesn't have 1/3 to 1/2 of the song that they always play. 45,000 people don't want to see a show and have them play songs that they don't really know. They played Sparks last night which was great to hear and as a die hard I would love to hear lesser known songs like Daylight; but they will be few and far between. Daylight would be amazing.

Well it was worth the wait. 5+ years after the show was canceled because of Harvey, I was able to take my 2 oldest boys to see them in Houston. They both had a blasted and did a lot of singing and jumping. The Houston #2 song was a nice touch. Thank you CP for helping me finally put this to bed. /The End

The trippy slow beat is really cool. It feels like somewhat of a concept song and I like it. CP is never going to be one thing and this song is further proof of that. I even like the high pitched parts. An improvement from the Everyday Life album.

I like it...it is about time CP rocks again. It gets me head bobbing which is a good thing. Could the lyrics have been better, maybe but it is certainly as step in the right direction. They need a song like this on every album. More song like this, Politik and God Put a Smile on Your Face.

Well 16 months later I am going to close the loop on this from my prospective. After taking a lot of Coldplay time off I can listen to them again and enjoy it. I just recently purchased the butterfly package and watching the DVD brought back a lot of memories. It brought back happy memories of going to the concert in Dallas but it also brought back sad memories of the cancelled show in Houston and everything that went along with Hurricane Harvey including the loss of live and property (ironic name of the storm). My son who would have gone to the Houston show with us and was very excited about going in August 2017 but didn't seem nearly as excited watching the DVD. He was 17 months more of a teenager not that interested in his dad's music anymore. It just seems like a great opportunity was lost for him to experience such a great positive concert. That feeling will always remain until I hopefully one day get to take him to a show.

Hurts Like Heaven vote out. Is it any wonder that two of the most upbeat songs on the Album were the final 2? be a bright red rose come bursting the concrete.

First off, it is good to see this game work. Any of the 4 remaining songs in my opinion are certainly deserving of winning, although I do have my favorite of the 4. Someone won't agree with each of the next 3 eliminations. ETIAW

Or get rid of both of them to speed this thing up. :idea:

I am not sure that I want to get involved with this one after the song that survived the Ghost Stories version of this. I guess I will give it another chance since I at least do like the back on forth of everyone's opinions. This is my second favorite album so I will have lots of strong opinions after we get rid of all the short ones such as: A Hopeful Transmission
