Will the folks in these countries keep the board informed if Coldplay make any TV appearances during their tour. I'm sure they'll do some TV in Australia as they have done in the past.

If you have a stereo/tuner next to your pc, then you just need to connect the correct cable from your stereo to your pc. Check to see if you have a line-out on your stereo/tuner. If you have the correct cable, connect this to the line-in on your pc. When you turn on your tuner, you should hear the radio on your pc. Now you can record using your sound recorder on your pc. This will work but you will need to find where the file has been saved

How to record? 1) Listen to the broadcast on the radio/stereo and tape it using a cassette recorder the old fashion way. Alternatively 2) Connect a digital radio to your pc using the line-in 3.5mm plug (same plug size as your speakers) on the back/front of your pc. Use software that records what is being heard on your pc or the line-in. The will give you a high quality wav file in the best quality possible. 3) Listening online. Use software the records what is being heard on your pc. The quality will not be as good and depends what kbps the broadcast is being streamed online at. Anything over 128kbps is good but unlikely to be this high.

This Sunday, following the Super Bowl (February 5) Stipe's duet with Martin on the Joseph Arthur-penned song 'In the Sun' will premiere on US television drama 'Grey's Anatomy'. The following day it will be available for purchase solely on iTunes, with proceeds going to benefit Mercy Corps . "The news cycle has moved on and I don't want the public to forget about those who were affected by Katrina or to believe that everything is fine now," Stipe said in a statement yesterday. He added: "It's a unique place, not only to this country but to the world. I had to do something as a Southerner. I had to do something as a public figure. The one thing I can do is sing, and it's probably the best way to get people to pay attention." The song features piano by Fountains Of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger and production by Stipe with ex-Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha. In addition to the duet with Martin, the single will be available in a number of formats on iTunes, including a live version recorded by Coldplay and Stipe at the Texas music festival Austin City Limits earlier this year, as well as a remix by Justin Timberlake and Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am. 'In The Sun' will also be featured in a documentary film of the same name, which airs on US cable network the Sundance Channel later this year. The "Up All Night" sampler doesn't have the demo version of Spies. It has the album version but it was too late to correct before publication of the magazine. The "demo version" or first version was recorded at the time of the Blue Room ep but not used. If you do a search the first version of Spies has been on the board. The magazine is available at all WH Smiths for £3.50.

EMI will never release any Coldplay single in 4 formats in the UK! Why? It breaks the charts rules and wouldn't be eligible to be placed in the UK charts. If you look at all their singles, they have only been released in the UK to a maximum 3 formats. e.g. Yellow - cassette, 7" & CD Im My Place - cassette, 12" & CD Talk - 7", 2 track CD & DVD The only exception to the rule is Clocks which was released in the UK on 7", CD and DVD and had a limited edition remix run of 1000 (plus 1000 worldwide) which was released after the initial release made the charts. The only maxi CD single (more than 2 tracks) of Talk with Gravity on it is the Australian release. Talk is the first Coldplay 2-track CD single to be issued in the UK. This is a popular format in the rest of Europe and most of the time released in card sleeves as well as slimline cases. You can tell a non-UK EU release of Talk as they have "Content Protected" printed on the front of the single. The UK 2-track release of Talk is in a slimline case and does not have "Content Protected" on the front. Hope this clears things up!

The stats prove that Coldplay are an albums band and most of the buying public already own the X&Y CD. It's only the die-hard fans like those on this board who want to own everything released by the band and will buy the single. The rest are just happy with the album. I'm sure they will be shifting a few copies of X&Y as Christmas presents.

This is the US promo CD. The UK promo CD is similar to the Cover of the Live DVD/CD and came in a card sleeve. The US version has the photo from the back of the stage. You may find the odd promo CD floating around on ebay, Gemm, Music Stack or other second hand dealers.
