1. I wondered the same about why they haven't come back to Des Moines, IA to Wells Fargo Arena. They came in 2009, sold out, and have not been back since. But what @A Guy Full of Stars said makes complete sense. The Louisville show would have been less than a 3 hr drive from Nashville, so they were kind of in the area. Same probably went for why they didn't come to Des Moines for the AHFOD tour--they played in US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis which is about 3.5 hrs north of Des Moines, and played 2 days later in Omaha, NE which is a little over 2 hours west of Des Moines. The show in Omaha was not a stadium, and Wells Fargo in Des Moines is also not a stadium, so it would only make sense for them to do one of the two, really.......although I would love for the to come back to Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines since I live only 30 miles north of Des Moines! For the Mylo Xyloto tour (which would have been the next major tour after the VLV), the closest they came to the Des Moines area was Chicago (5.5 hrs away) and St. Paul, MN (3.5 hrs away). I'm sure there are several logistical reasons on why they haven't been back to Nashville or Des Moines...maybe some day? In the meantime, the car rides to Minneapolis and Omaha last August were totally and completely worth it
2. With a HEAD full, a head full of dreams!
3. Sorry, I did not mean to offend. Just playing the game :) and it's not one of my personal favorites from the album! It's a good song, but I just can't put it above DLIBYH!
4. Hurts Like Heaven
5. And this is my favorite game to watch! :) I haven't participated because I am not as "up" on my facts as those who do (and I'm not nearly as clever--those clues you guys/gals make are really fun and creative!), but I sure learn a lot about the guys and the songs by reading the thread--and I appreciate this. So fun!
6. I really appreciate the invitation @I ran away but I will not be home tomorrow, I'm sorry. Thank you so much though! Maybe next time!
7. Interesting. E?
8. I'll bet it's a compressed air can. Can be used to safely remove dust and dirt from electronics, could also be used on musical instruments I assume. Or maybe they have a real affinity for canned whipped cream... ;)
9. I was out of town visiting family all weekend but I hope to catch the next party. Looks like it was fun! X&Y next? :);)
10. I got We Never Change as well. That was a fun quiz, thanks for posting, @Gsilva !
11. I am not sure exactly how young you are, but I find it very neat that you aren't into "typical" music for people your age! Nothing wrong with that! It's fun that you are so addicted to the Spice Girls right now. For me, I just had to giggle--not in a mean way of course--but for me, when I hear Spice Girls, my horrible middle school years come flooding back into my mind and I can't help but think "oh good Lord NOOOOOO!" I can imagine there are a few "older" people out there who are with me??? ;) Cool of you, though, to be into something different from Bieber and artists on that order that younger people are typically into!
12. Oh my word this is hysterical! I had never seen this, thanks for the laugh!
13. Any fellow runners out there like me who primarily listen to Coldplay while running? If so, what are your favorite Coldplay tunes to run to? I have found that this winter, Twisted Logic, Talk, Charlie Brown, Politik, and AHFOD got me through a ton of runs when temps were in the single digits, wind chills in the negative teens and there was snow beating me in the face. Literally would not have been able to make it 5 miles in those conditions without our favorite four guys blasting in my ear!
14. I have to respectfully disagree, I don't think it's possible for these four guys to be boring. They could walk into a random venue on an unplanned night, sit at their respective instruments, play any b-sides and throw a little witty commentary in between each selection and still entertain the crap out of me. Actually, I could just sit there watching them tinker around on stage and still be happy as a clam!
15. I too would not hesitate to throw big $ into seeing this, would even travel far---it would be worth it! If they could just do a smaller tour of this concept, wouldn't have to be huge and exhausting.....just something for us superfans. Oh that would be so lovely! Not just B-sides but songs they haven't performed much in the past few tours. I would pay big money just to see them play White Shadows or more songs from X & Y but I also realize they do not have fond memories of this time period so I guess I can just keep pouting about the fact that I missed the Twisted Logic tour :sob:
16. This post was from over a year ago but I am with you! I just bought all 3 of their albums after loving the song "On Hold" for months, and they are awesome.
