The difference as to the musical taste of the four of them becomes more and more obvious now that they are on a gap year (or gap years). Look at the music Chris loves as revealed on Twitter and the music Guy loves as shown on Synchro Sunday. It couldn't be more different. And Will once said he loved listening to classical music. I wonder how they will ever agree on making new songs.

I agree with you. Guy just seems to have a nice holiday in California with his family. He is touring all over the country. Yesterday he posted pictures from Santa Monica. If they were recording new songs Will and Jonny would have been spotted in Malibu as well. Chris might be thinking about a new EP with Los Unidades for the next Global Citizens' Festival, but I don't think the band will participate.

Guy won't probably sit down, in LA or elsewhere, to listen to the album from beginning to end today. He knows it and has often listened to it. But I like how he keeps in touch with his fans. Sadly the three others don't.

Guy seems to be still in Malibu and has posted a picture of a victory sign. I don't know what he wants to tell us by that.

You are right, who knows? Guy was in Switzerland and didn't meet Chris in St. Moritz. Now he's in California, perhaps he won't see Chris but is spending his holidays there. Or he might just say hello to Chris. As long as Will and Jonny are not there the band will not record anything there. Guy is the only one of the four who keeps in contact with the Coldplay fans, that's what I like about him!

Well, Chris mentioned it while singing about the firefighters in Malibu a few weeks ago. Some people thought it was a joke but others reported it did burn down. But the band might do some recording in Chris's house though it would make more sense to do it in London so that only one of the four has to travel.

Guy is/was probably in Malibu, because he was invited to Chris's birthday party for his 42nd birthday in his house in Malibu on Saturday. Besides, their studio in Malibu apparently burned down a few weeks ago. If they are really going to record new music they will do it in London. Guy was in Switzerland just a few days before the big Indian wedding festivities in St. Moritz, and everybody thought Coldplay would perform there. But it was Chris who sang there, not the band. We must wait until Will and Jonny are spotted in Malibu, too.

I haven't actually been ridiculed, but I have some friends who just can't understand that I like Coldplay. Chris has often said: 'If you like Coldplay, it's great. If you don't like us, it's fine, too. I have adopted that attitude. When someone makes jokes about Coldplay I often ask that person what exactly he means and often it turns out that he can't really say why he doesn't like Coldplay. So when I tell him why I like Coldplay he often drops the subject. Anyway, I am very glad that we are fans of a band who never ever have said anything bad about another band!

I completely agree with you. They need a break. They have worked so hard for 20 years, perhaps they have spent all their energy and creativity and are now off to do other things. Even if they stop singing and playing together we should be grateful that they have given us so many wonderful songs. Chris is the only one who goes on singing because he simply can't stay out of the limelight. He always said he didn't want a solo career, but if he has changed his mind, ok. But he shouldn't sing Coldplay songs and pretend they are his own. I can imagine Jonny, Will and Guy feel sad and angry about it.

It would also make my day! I get the impression that Chris and the rest of the band are more and more drifting apart. Chris has played at the wedding of several rich people (Spain, India etc.), he seems to be very keen on getting as much money as possible, whilst the other members keep their feet on the ground. Chris even played without the band during the last Global Citizen's festival. As a curator it is he who decides who will play at the festival. So he either didn't want them to play or they didn't want to play with him. Chris seems to be so completely immersed in the society of those super rich celebrities in L.A. that he probably isn't keen on playing together with his old bandmates. By the way, Phil has sold his house in L.A. and has returned to England. But Chris sings the praise of Malibu as his 'home town'. He lives in a world which is different to that of his bandmates. I don't like Chris performing Coldplay songs alone. These songs don't belong to him, they belong to the whole band. Why doesn't he decline such offers and say 'I won't play without the three others???

I read that The Woodshed Recording Studio is the place where Coldplay did much of their recording in Malibu. It is close to Chris's house. The house of the owner of the Studio burned down completely, but the Studio itself which is next to the house was untouched by the flames.

Yes, I got that. But he sang: 'The only piece of good news was that the Coldplay Studio burned down'. So that means the studio actually did burn down.

I just watched a video here on Coldplaying from yesterday where people from Malibu came together to remember the help they had got during the fire. Chris was playing and singing together with some other people and in one of the songs he mentioned that the Coldplay Studio had burnt down, or was he joking?

I'm not sure whether this is really Guy's own acccount. There are other Instagram accounts like dakotajohnson.chrismartin, which are by no means their own accounts, but they are accounts where somebody else posts pictures about them or even pretends to be that person. Obviously anybody can open an Instagram account with any name that has not yet been used. But if this account was real, it would be great to have direct contact to Guy.
