Yeah, I have a friend who has a boyfriend, and says I love you to him, and I'm fine with that. But she also says I love youuu to her male friends. Just friends. I don't like that because it brings down the meaning when you say it to the person you're in love with. It just makes it mean less. If I'm in love with someone, that's the only person who isn't family that gets that word used about them. That's how I think it should be, anyways.

I'm not insulting you. I'm just saying they're big words. I love my friends but I don't express it that openly because they're big words. I don't say I love you or I love <name of friend> because they're words that are taken in a completely different way. And they mean something completely different.

Like, I can understand liking someone from talking to them online, I met my last and longest girlfriend online, but I would never have said I loved her until after I'd met her. I feel like if they're yet to actually be in love, they'll one day find it and then look at this and be a bit embarassed at their use of the word. So I hope they don't actually mean it. I don't get it though, why you'd put that on an internet forum. It's just a bit like... Someone will judge or insult because of it.
