More like Lary Gey... -Newport -Beaches -Proximity to NYC and Boston Cons: -Everyone knows everyone -Once you've been everywhere, you literally have no where else to go. -Nothing much to see here. -Every fucking politician is corrupt. -Buddy Cianci, anyone? -Our state bird is a fucking cock. That's just strange. -No one gives a shit about Rhode Island when it comes to elections. Never interesting. -People think that it's unnecessary to use a blinker or ANY form of turn signal. Also, red lights are not mandatory. -If we ever got hit with a hurricane like Katrina's size, this whole state would join Atlantis. -State workers bleeding the system, same with the unions. -Constant roadwork that gives the stateworkers and immigrants something to do. I hate this state, lmfao.

Going to the Oxegen festival. One of the days of it is my 18th birthday:cool: So it's sort of like the ultimate birthday gift from my parents (except for the fact that um................ I'm paying for it.... :confused: :laugh3: ). I'm leaving in less than a week! I'M SO EXCITED.:stunned:

Again with the generalizations. Give me data, give your arguments support and not idealistic hogwash that is easy to spew out. How about the mentally retarded? They can't even work, they can't become rich. The disabled? The uneducated? Not everyone can go out and get a high paying job. And again, I'd like to know why people keep throwing around this term "rich". Who's rich and who isn't? Am I rich? I live in a big house, my parents each have a car, my brother's going to a private school next year. I will be continuing on to college soon. My family is also in such debt we can hardly afford any of this. Infact, we CAN'T afford any of this. Every paycheck I earn is not mine. But people see that my father is a doctor and say that we are rich. They have no idea that my parents have to continually take out new credit cards to try and pay for things. We've had more than one scare about losing our house. Don't throw that term around so loosely. A big house and a nice car does not equal rich. Neither does a huge salary. So what is it the poor have to emulate??

For the sake of argument, whom do you define as a "rich" person? Rich in what? Is there a certain monthly earning quota that people should try to emulate? By overgeneralizing the rich, you overgeneralize the poor. I did not choose to be born into the great opportunities that I have been afforded in life. Many people are born into completely impoverished, deprived situations. They have bare access to education, no family support to steer them in the correct direction. To say things like 90% of the rich work for their livings, then what's to stop people from saying 90% of the poor deserve what they get? People are often born into poverty, and have no opportunity or knowledge to know how to get out of it. I'd like to know where people's stereotypical data comes from around here.

I am really proud of this picture. :nice: I really consider myself lucky, that's why I didn't feel it was right for me to get incredibly disapointed without meeting them. I got to see them play! And I'm seeing them tomorrow! I should NOT be complaining, so I'm not! I just don't like how I was treated by the Borders employees... Some really, REALLY fishy stuff was going on that I'm going to be writing up in my "review". They are so fucking amazing live....

:( Borders is mean and didn't let me meet them, they cut it off JUST before me. Quite a fiasco. HOWEVER I did see them play up close, and that was really really awesome!!!! I'll upload all the pictures and videos for you guys on Sunday, since I'll be gone all day tomorrow seeing them AGAIN. I will talk about THIS though. So, although I didn't get a chance to go up to the booth and get the album signed and shake their hands and all that, I did wait for them to finish. And they walked out right by me!!! Like, literally walked 3 inches from me. So I decided to just say what I was planning on saying up at the booth anyways, "SEE YOU IN BOSTON TOMORROW OH MY GOD LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and Tom turned and gave me the cutest smile ever :nice: LMFAO! He must think I'm a total creep. Haha. Sweet guys, really. I was bummed about the way Borders treated (and manipulated) the fans, but I can't blame that on Keane at all. They're sweethearts, they didn't look like they even wanted to stop signing!! So, I got my moment that I wanted (all I wanted was a reaction from the guys!), even though it didn't happen as planned :laugh4: Holy crap, the equipment had a MAJOR malfunction during 'Somewhere Only We Know'. Tom's mic and the speakers on his side were dead, so the audience were the only ones singing (which was sooo amazing haha). Then Tim's piano died!!!!!!! All it was was drums and the audience screaming the lyrics. Great moment, I wish I was filming it. I filmed all of 'Everybody's Changing' and 'Crystal Ball' though!!! Met some friends from the internet world there, we had a blast. One of my friends Abby took some EXTRAORDINARY pictures (I was a bit too excited to get good ones :rolleyes: ), I'll ask for her permission to post those here as well. YAY KEANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
