Steph, that's amazing!!!!!! There is nothing better than getting attention from an artist in the middle, or end, or begining of a gig. I have determined this. :smug: :laugh4:

Arctic Monkeys!
CHRIS TALKED TO YOU STEPH!?!?!? Have I been missing something major here???? I haven't been into the Coldplay section in awhile, holy crap. WHAT'S GOING ON?! Er, anyways. So, I was just blasting the EP and realized how poignant Who The Fuck has become. Maybe it's about Andy......... We all want someone to shout for Yeah, everyone wants somebody to adore But your heroes aren't what they seem When you've been where we've been Have I done something to trigger The funny looks and the sniggers? Are they there at all, or is it just paranoia? Everybody's got their box Doing what they're told You pushed my faith near being lost But we'll stick to the guns Don't care if it's marketing suicidal Won't crack or compromise Your derisory divides Will never unhinge us And there's a couple of hundred Think they're Christopher Columbus But the settlers had already settled Yeah, long before ya Just cos we're having a say-so Not lining up to be playdoh Oh, in five years time, will it be "Who the fuck's Arctic Monkeys?" 'Cause everybody's got their box Doing what they're told You pushed my faith near being lost But we'll stick to the guns Don't care if it's marketing suicidal Won't crack or compromise Your do-rights or individes Will never unhinge us All the thoughts that I just said Will linger round and multiply in their head Not that mad to start with I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed It's not you it's them that are wrong Tell 'em to take out their tongues Tell 'em to take out their tongues... Now I realize that the signs really REALLY were there, hitting us all in the face. lmfao oh dear.

Alex doesn't look, he STARES. It's kind of unnerving. I don't think he had anywhere else to look during the whole show except towards me at some points. Poor guy, I probably traumatized him. And oh, I was so makin' the eyes at him the whole time. I don't know how he could have not noticed. Alex likes to stare down cameras too. I was watching the professional photographers running around in the pit (fucking covering my view sometimes), and Alex would look directly into the lense until the person took the picture and moved away. He's like a cat or something. LMFAOOO

Nick was really good, he nailed all of the bass lines and seemed to be having a great time. I have no problem with him, he seems like a really nice guy. All the best to him, I wouldn't complain (or be surprised) if he took over for Andy. However, copying and replaying bass lines that are already CREATED is one thing. Making them up is another story all together. I saw Nick hanging out with Matt in Boston way before the show, they seem to have a good chemistry going. Well, I'll be seeing them in July again and then after that I hope many more times.

Paris Hilton, a singer?
Don't get me started on the Pussycat Dolls. Nothing is worse than that, not even Paris Hilton. I just saw their idiotic video this morning (featuring "Big" Snoop Dog or something). I fucking hate the objectivity of women's sexuality, disguised as "music" and "entertainment". Disgusting.

Arctic Monkeys!
Everybody's been saying that, that it comes as no shock. I have to admit, though, I was completely flabbergasted when I read this. I'm not doom and gloom about it, though. They still seem to be having a great time on stage, and that's the sign of a band with some strength. They can definately perservere through this. But, you know, now that I think about it more.... I think that the signs were there. I don't like to base my opinions off superficial magazine images, or articles, or whatever... But I was just looking at a cut out from Rolling Stone of the band that's on my wall. Everyone's photographed "intimately" in it, except for Andy. I know that bass players usually get ignored (not rightfully so!!!!). But so do drummers, and Matt is there. I think Andy really didn't like the spotlight, I definately don't think it was a result of some sort of feud. They never showed signs of THAT. I hope some questions are answered soon, so people can stop being so deprecating and cruel towards the band. I'm tired of rumors and mindless speculations.

Paris Hilton, a singer?
No skin off my nose, as I plan on never listening to her or giving her any of my attention/money/reactions. All the power to her, I guess. Too bad she can't take her money and ignorance with her when she dies.

The official **KEANE** thread
From a myspace bulletin I got today: Subject: US instores/ABC News today Hey folks At lunchtime today, Keane are appearing at a World Cup event at Virgin Megastore in LA (Hollywood & Highland location). The store will be showing the England v Sweden game from 12noon, with the band playing two tracks fully live at half-time (approx 12.45pm). The half-time performance will also be featured in a piece on ABC News at 6pm tonight (nationwide!). Then, on Friday June 23, the band will be doing an instore/signing at Borders in New York (Time Warner building, Columbus Circle). The show starts at 1pm. To ensure entry to the signing afterwards, you'll need to buy the album from the store that day (then you'll be given a wristband). Thanks Keane HQ I am so freakin' excited for the instore signing/gig in NYC. I'm not buying the album for that reason, so I can get it Friday. This should be fun.

Arctic Monkeys!
................................ I don't know if you want to know.... but... Might as well break it the hard way. from arcticmonkeys.com: We are sad to tell everyone that Andy is no longer with the band. Nick O’Malley, who stood in for Andy while he was absent from the recent tour of North America, shall carry on playing bass for the remaining shows this summer. We have been mates with Andy for a long time and have been through some amazing things together that no one can take away. We all wish Andy the very best. Alex, Jamie and Matt. :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry:

lmfao, I'm not even reading it. Because I don't need someone who spends their lives judging other people telling ME what to do. I hate when new albums come out, reviews are lame. Meanwhile, there's a really nice on in Entertainment Weekly, that I totally agree with. Maybe I'll type it up later.

Show us your art!
Heh, well I hope they do! I like the idea of artsy photography when it comes to bands. I mean, straight up images (headshots, etc) are nice for magazines. But I like it when photographers get inventive. Either it be putting the subject in a different setting, or editing the picture later with strange colors, etc. I don't like the idea of photography being subjective just to a person's tastes. I aim for people to like a picture even if they hate or dislike the band being photographed. That's why I like to mess around with the pictures more. Thanks! I'm sure I will... heh! :D

Show us your art!
:stunned: Thank you so so so much! You don't know what that means to me. Often times I get really self depricating when it comes to my photography. But I'm incredibly proud of the pictures I shot at the Arctic Monkeys show. For me, I often judge a gig by the quality of the pictures I take by the time it's over. Believe it or not.... :laugh4: So the Monkeys gig was very very good! haha. Thank you again! I'll have to keep experimenting with this technique in the future! I'm going to another small venue show this week (Keane) and should be able to get a few good shots there as well.

A Series Of Bad Events
That truly is a series of unfortunate events. lmfao, I've had so many days like that. One day I had 6 pop quizzes ALONE in school. I have 6 periods, so that was one for each class. It was absolutely ridiculous. And I tripped going down the stairs that day. Fun times.

And you think that being condescending and arrogant helps YOUR side of the argument? Quite to the contrary, my friend. Don't be a hypocrit. I can't STAND hypocrits.
