  3. This song by Al Stewart doesn't so much speak of me, but of the one great love in my life, a Naval captain, who just slipped away from me. This song just speaks of him, of that wildness that he was, the free spirit. Oh you slipped away from the harbour side In the morning bright and clear. And your sails were filled with the rising wind And you laughed for all to hear. But you never glanced at the ragged dance Of your lovers on the quay, Don't call on them when the winds rise high On the dark and the rolling sea. Oh, you set your course for the furthest shores, And you never once looked back. And the flag you flew was the pirate cross, On a field of velvet black. And those landsmen who you but lately knew Were left stranded on the lea, Don't call on them when the storm clouds rise On the dark and the rolling sea. "Oh I have no need of a chart or creed!" You told your waiting crew; "For the winds of chance, they will bear us straight!" And you spoke as though you knew. So you paid no mind to the warning signs As you gave your words so free - Don't change your tack when the timbers crack On the dark and and the rolling sea. Now the thunder rails in the great mainsails And the stars desert the skies. And the rigging strains as the hands of rain Reach down to wash your eyes. And your oarsman stands with his knife in hand, And his eyes spell mutiny. Don't call my name when your ship goes down On the dark and the rolling sea. :(
  4. Suits. The glimpse of a waist in a shirt when a jacket falls open. Good posture - an easy gait and athletic stance. The smell of sunshine on skin. mmmm. Bright and interested eyes.
  5. Wot - like, wow, that's HUGE! Is that what you mean?
  6. The most wonderful thing that was said to me was when my all-time hero who I really really looked up to and worshipped the ground he walked on (I was 17, he was 29), took me in his arms and told me I was voluptuous. I had to run home and look it up in the dictionary!!
  7. That's very interesting because I've been looking at all that peasant floaty cheesecloth stuff and thinking yuk, how can anybody think that's sexy? I thought it just looked shapeless and unlovely. But there you go. How wrong can I be? *chucks away stilletto leather boots and mini skirt and digs out ancient lace-up-the-front baggy white crumpled cheesecloth shirt that belonged to older sister* :D
  8. 10 - if Laura is HALF as pretty as her avatar, then she is one lovely lady!!! And I'm jealous lol! (j/k) :D

  19. What do you hope to do in life? Climb Everest, swim naked in a tropical lagoon, write a book, kiss Guy, (or Will, or Chris of Jonny), or maybe just get married and be happy? One thing I would dearly love to do is to fly outside the earth's atmosphere. Maybe one day .....

Well hey, this is like taking a step outside very early in the morning when the first snow has fallen overnight! This is my pattern of footsteps you are seeing! :) I think I understand that this is to talk to ppl from your own country - get to know some new folk. Well since I'm the first in here, would anyone else from England like to join me? For those who don't know me, I'm Vicky and I'm from Bristol. I don't know of anyone from the West Country on here - it would be nice if there were ... :D
