So many really exciting and surprising things happened this year - it makes me think of a song by Al Stewart called 'Laughing Into 1939', which describes a girl at a New Year's Eve party, dancing and laughing and everyone being excited at the promise the new year would bring - but the new year was 1939, and we all know what happened then. Brilliant song - from the album Between The Wars. Lovely acoustic guitar sound, which builds with bass and drums coming in, and then a string instrumental break (cello I think) in the middle. I think I might just put it on Kazaa, then you can dip into it if you like! :-D

I'm hopeless at keeping to New Year resolutions, but I always tell myself I'm going to lose weight this year! I also ought to try to be nicer to people ALL of the time. Oh, and more money would be cool!

Actually, having just been near Exeter on the motorway today, I can tell you that it's more like 80 miles from Bristol. Bristol is about 100 miles from London, and Exeter is quite a bit further than that, I would say (geography's never been my strong point!). :-o :roll: Kasia, I know Chris's parents because his kid brother is in the same school/year/rugby team as my son. It's a boarding school, and parents often show up to watch the school rugby matches. :-D 8)

This is one of those bands that I've just been introduced to - and they're GREAT! And they come highly recommended !!!! :lol: George says Clarity is their best album.
