In the UK the physical single is usually released two weeks before the album, downloads a few weeks before that, and it hits radio about six weeks before release date. Yes, I am a big Doves fan, can't wait for their new record which should be out this summer too!

I think Prospekt is definately Phil. Isn't he an old school friend of Chris'? Chris went to school and was born in Devon so it would make sense. Singles almost always come out two weeks before the album. They might release a download only song which isn't going to be on the album (they did say they were going to release two songs independently after all) when they've finished the record. I don't know if they'd go through the same press and promo schedule that they went through with X&Y. The music industry is changing, EMI are kind of falling apart, so I think CP are more free to do what they want to do now (like releasing new material as soon as it's finished).

On the official ABC/Jimmy Kimmel website it says a"musical performance by Coldplay". It's his fifth anniversary! They can't just play a tape. Coldplay don't always necessarily do the most obvious thing. They premiered "Speed of Sound" on Lamacq Live which wasn't the most listened to radio show in the UK at all and they are trying to do things differently this time around. Oh yeah, a question for any Americans: what does 12:05/11:05c mean? I know its a time but why two? What does "c" stand for?

Well it is JK's fifth anniversary show and they are in New York (the last anyone heard) mixing the record so maybe...

Maybe they'll perform a new track and then tomorrow on CP.com they'll have a new 2008 video of them on JK with a note like "this is us last night...". That'd be cool.

It's signed Prospekt so Prospekt must be a person, not the album title etc. This is definately very cool. I think this album is going to sound quite unique. It's great that they're willing to try new things.

Who is Prospekt? He/she has different handwriting to the rest of the band but refers to the band as 'we'? Also... "Markus...prowls around the room like a big cat in a zoo..." What is Markus' second name? I can't read it. Why has he got a paintbrush? Maybe he's working on the new artwork while CP work on the music.
