  1. The worst part must be that this was their first live performance for over a year and it didn't go off in the way they might've wanted and now they have to wait to put it right. Personally, I think playing a new song for the first time live at an MTV Awards show was a bad idea.
  2. Sparks again. How did Life is for Living get kicked off? It's a quality song.

They played X&Y a bit. I don't think they should play Yellow. It's not their most popular song, it's not their best song, I just don't see why they'd waste a slot on the setlist. Fix You can go, it belongs on the X&Y and tour. Square One'll too.
  4. Lost?'s been around for a while.
  5. What's that got to with Coldplay? Or music? Sorry mate, you've been had.
  6. Lovers in Japan? Another song that's already leaked? What a surprise.
  7. That difference is probably down to the quality of the file. Why would CP call the video version a 'rough cut' if it was exactly the same as the final song? Why would EMI send a CD to that site? NME: OK, Rolling Stone: fine, but whatifgaming.com? Are they even sending out CDs? That sounds incredibly risky for a company that don't want the album to leak.
  8. Well, Chris said there is a song on the album that you should hear before you die, I don't think he's ever said it was 42 though.
  9. Basically everything they've posted is available anyway. Why is it most likely the finished album version? It's exactly the same as the video. Plus, they're likely to get away with it because they're a tiny, and slightly strange, website. EMI aren't likely to pick them up.
  10. I wouldn't hold your breath. They've given us nothing new so far. I doubt they've even heard the album of the reviewer even knows Chris. I will happily eat my words though.
  11. Yeah, I think LIT is just a rip from the video. It's exactly the same, musically at least. It even has the fade into COL. Any differences are probably down to the quality of the rip.

They definitely change time signature 'cause the first bar is in something different.

Most of it is in 4/4. The first bar might be in 7/4?

Just 'cause it isn't a leap forward doesn't mean it's bad. X&Y wasn't even a step forward as far as I'm concerned yet it's probably my favourite Coldplay record.

    Good find!
  16. Still the acoustic version.

    Worst first post ever?
  18. Mine was for Sparks. Too sleepy.
  19. Um, the_escapist, it got 8? I think NME gave X&Y 9/10 because they felt they had to. Almost like "Alright, have another 9/10 but the next album better be great/different", like the whole tone of the review was based around EMI's trouble and how X&Y was good enough to bail EMI out.
  20. They wrote it themselves otherwise Eno would've got a credit on the album sleeve. An Ending (Ascent) was played before Politik during the AROBTTH tour but isn't on the Live 2003 DVD or CD.
