Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
They've used yellow, red and blue almost exclusively which are (obviously) the prime colours. This makes me think of Synchronicity by the Police which had yellow, red and blue on the cover. I also remember an entry on the old Coldplayer saying that CP were going through a Police phase (this was during the 2006 US tour). Maybe this is a connection?

Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
Doesn't mean it's fake at all. These pages are the finished article. Maybe those dates are just there as examples. Look at all the other PROOF! Also, why would someone go to all this bother for a joke. Also, this on slenderfungus's website, how can it be fake? What is there to be fake?

Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
Sometimes they put stuff up that's dated before the site actually launches. For example, when this version of CP.com launched in June last year the first blog entry was actually written in April.

Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
Yeah, I just noticed that! Maybe that one picture is IT.

Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
These pictures aren't top secret or anything, if they were why would CP put a link to them on their own site? All this stuff was just waiting to be found. Anyone know how long it's been there?

Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
slenderfungus designed the current Coldplay site and so it makes sense that they're going to design the new site too. What is there to question?

Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
Oracle? In vivo?

Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
Also, THE Prospekt entry probably won't come now. The next thing that'll happen (probably) is the new site going live. YEEHAH!

Big Scoop: NEW COLDPLAY SITE
Wow! Original but instantly identifiable. I knew it'd all change 'cause, as they kept saying, X&Y was the end of the trilogy. Looks like they're going to have their own YouTube site too. Does anyone else think the new logo looks a bit like Sigur Ros's?

Coldplay Clean Sweep In 20 Biggest Selling 21st Century Albums
More than X&Y, less than AROBTTH. It'll probably go down with the critics better than X&Y did but I don't think it'll do as well as AROBTTH, that's like a proper 21st century classic.

In the absence of COLDPLAY.COM forum
They haven't stopped the forum itself. If you go to forums.coldplay.com you can see that it's still there and people still post on it but it's not part of coldplay.com anymore. I think they're working on something different right now but it probably not finished yet, that's why it's not up.

In the absence of COLDPLAY.COM forum
A new CP.com is going to launch at some point soon and so the official forum might make a reappearance.

Coldplay in The Netherlands this november?!!!
It's probably not.

Coldplay Tipped For V Festival Headline Performance
OK. That's not very likely to happen because, as headliners, the Verve are likely to have quite a lot of fans at V, people who have shelled out over £100 for the festival based on the bands advertised. I doubt people would be very happy if CP turned up instead of the Verve. Anyway, Stereophonics aren't as big as the Verve now. Not at all.

Coldplay Tipped For V Festival Headline Performance
I don't think V Festival have a licence to put bands on past a certain point in the the night so it'd be pretty hard to squeeze CP in after the Verve who, after all, are headlining.

Coldplay Tipped For V Festival Headline Performance
Er, Muse and the Verve are doing it. It's confirmed already, check the V2008 website.

Isn't Markus Dravs doing it? "a heavyweight boxer with a paintbrush"

Plans for the summer...
Right, so Coldplay aren't doing Coachella, Glastonbury, Isle of Wight, V Festival, T in the Park, or, well, any other fesitval that we know of (apart from Summer Sonic of course). So what are they going to do? I hope they do some special gigs, no necessarily big ones (42 dates at the O2 anyone?), but shows in some unique places. From what little we've heard of their live show I imagine it would be quite hard to put it on at a festival where all you have to play with is, um, the stage. Anyway, where would you like to see CP this summer?

Anyone a little disappointed?
It's better to have a shorter record than one that's too long. X&Y proved that.

I am "Wait-and-See" with LP4
I know what you mean. I'm don't think I'm as excited as I was for X&Y. I thought it was going to be a real departure for them and a truly great album but three years on I don't think it was. I see X&Y as a way of CP cementing their position as a big band and it did that but it didn't exactly reinvent the wheel. With this record I am looking forward to it but I just hope they've kept the tunes and haven't ignored them 'cause they were focusing on experimenting. It seems like there's going to be many different styles of music on the new record but I just hope it sounds good as an album. On the other hand I think their live return will be something to remember. Probably not up there with Zoo TV but better than Twisted Logic.

Looks like Chris has got his old AROBTTH walking boots on in this picture.

What Songs Will Always be on The Setlist
I think they'll move Fix You or get rid of it (they've changed the last song on every tour they've done so far). They'll probably keep Yellow but maybe change the way they play it (maybe have a Chris on piano solo version? Or play it acoustically?). Clocks'll stay. Politik will go. The Scientist will stay. I think they may chuck out a few songs off of X&Y.

Coldplay studio sale
One of those keyboards was used on the X&Y tour by Guy wasn't it?

On The Chance of a Song Leak...
I don't see why they don't release it online first. It'd be harder for anything to be leaked if it went straight to iTunes or whatever. I don't know how "Talk" was leaked. I'm guessing it may've been done on purpose. They must've known they weren't going to put that version on the record then and it seems a bit strange than just one song leaked. It also created a bit of buzz.
